| Bradford did a few good things in the first half but were poor thereafter.
We were poor throughout. That is putting it nicely.

| Lamont Bryan and Will Sharp tried hard.
We were awful as a team though, with no good excuse.

| The season long tactic of passing to a stationary player still hasn't proved its worth.
Also the advantages of being offside at your own scrum are still undecided

"I am extremely concerned that we have a group of players who went out there and looked like they had never played together before.
"I am frustrated with myself as much as the players.
"There are questions that need to be asked about everyone at the club - myself included."'"
At this stage of the season, we don't need questions, we need to start coming up with answers. Although my question would be: why do we never pace ourselves through the season?
2007, 2008 and now 2009 have all seen positive starts followed by miserable ends.
Hopefully we can turn this year around, but I'm not seeing much evidence.

| Woeful performance from Quins. Torn apart in the first half by a side who are themselves distinctly average.

| I cannot believe how bad Luke Dorn was today. From the moment he got the ball from that scrum and ran towards the left wing allowing himself to be bundled into touch he just got worse and worse. Exactly how many times exactly did he pass to the opposition?
Defensive marking - do they pactice this, or are they just making it up as they go along? Our right wing is woefull defensively. i know BM has to put Gale somewhere when we are defending but he really must find another spot for him.
The inability to play simple positions such as passing along the line to an overlapping player is mind boggling.
When you watch St Helens play you see a team that is aware where the overlap is and works to exploit it. We dont have a team that knows which side the overlap is on nor the ability tp pass the ball effectively to achieve it.
When I watch other teams play I can usually work out what they are trying to do in their plays. Does anyone have any idea what our players are trying to do because I have no idea. I see no real moves being played. Dorn just runs down blind alleys. Orr never takes the defense on or asks any real questions. That has to be one of the worse displays I've seen from this team all the years i have been watching - and ive seen some stinkers. The only bright spot for me was how Lamont Bryan showed his more experienced colleagues what you could do when you had the ball in hand. Played a lot of stuff like ive seen him do in the reserves, so its nice he was able to do it at 1st team level now, which he couldnt do before.

| We have been crying out for structure in attack for weeks and weeks.
A few weeks ago the comment was made that we shouldn't use our injuries to hide behind this fact.
There is simple nothing in terms of creativity. Everything we do is slow, predictable and lacking any real precision or crispness. It is turgid to watch.
Whilst Dorn was poor others such as Gale, Orr and Randall should also accept responsibility. He wasn't on his own.
There are too many players who are similar and too many players who are mediocre in our team. If we are close to our salary cap (as was reported on here) then something has gone seriously wrong in the planning.

In the first half you were as good, relative to us, as Saints were two weeks ago.
In the second half you were as bad as us.

| Cheers for posts so far. BTW, as a Bulls fan and follower of Quins' fortunes, I am not surprised that each slit the others' throat in the away fixture, hundreds of miles away from the home fans who could have done with a bit of joy.

| Our right wing was exposed horribly time after time. I'm not sure who was to blame, but Gale didn't come on until after the damage had been done.
I got to the ground too late to hear the team announcements - who was (nominally) playing in the centres with Gafa?

Purdo was at no. 4. He wasn't responsible for the leaky right-side defence. That would be down to Wells, Gafa, one of the halves (Orr?) and one of the second-rowers on that side.

So people finally seem to be realising that Dorn is indeed woeful and not good enough to play 6 for a side that is apparently aiming for the playoffs and even top of the league (!) I really hope we get rid of him at the end of the season and bring in an experienced Australian.
We are ABYSMAL and have been for weeks. Disgraceful performance yesterday and it looks like my prediction of 4 points will come true as we will get nothing from Warrington or Castleford and the games against Hull and Salford will be tough.
Hopefully then McDermott decides to walk or is sacked and we are all put out of our misery as the man clearly can't take the side any further. He is devout of ideas and his strategy of 5 drives and a kick is getting embarrassing. The excuses people have been making have to stop - we had Orr, Purdham, Williamson Dorn etc all playing yesterday and we played worse than we did without them.

Cheer up, we've only conceded 86 points in the last two home games and won just one game from our last eight. All the evidence points to Quins walking out at Old Trafford in October.

It tooke me nearly 2 hrs to get there yesterday from Herts and that was a disgracefully lazy performance in the first half. Not impressed. Dorn was at least a threat occasionally, i dont know why he's always made a scape-goat for underperforming sides. Without strike players you dont win games.

| I don't think it could be any clearer that we are a better team in the first half on the year than the second half. The real question is - why???
Edit: Added another one: form in the last eight games of the year:
