I say North London, its actually the London Drinker beer festival organised by North London CAMRA. Right by Kings Cross.

48 - 0 Oxford. Have to say in the 7 years I have been going the standard has risen incredibly. The first game I saw no one knew what to do where to stand etc and it is now proper rugby league although sadly a bit one sided as Oxford were just to good. Stevo and Dave Hadfield in attendance.

Anyone actually know why Sky didn't cover it this year? Are they cutting back on any other RL coverage?

Sky got rid of championship RL and premier sports picked it up and did a decent enough job ( Ian Ramsdale is a commentator and they have the video ref micced up) they also how loads of nrl if you like good rugby league as well as super league. Also swapping Saturday SL games to Monday night when the premier league ends.

About varsity were season ticket holders invited this year? I knew hardly anything about it this year top the result

Thanks for the info. Great shame really - for some years now the Thursday evening matches have provided great entertainment. Don't know if I fancy handing over yet another extra tenner (or whatever it'll be) to see matches I could see last year as part of the 'Sports' package.
