I'm a Watford and Saracens fan but follow RL as much as I do RU so will try get to a few LB games next year (did go to a game at Brentford once and have been to a few RL internationals).

(It would be good if you could play a game at Allianz Park too - I think Saracens deal is that we can play up to 16 games there plus the Council allows two other "major events" to take place. Saracens are friendly with Wigan; Broncos v Wigan is in the RU off season... although the summer stadium capacity without the temporary seats is only 3,500 but Saracens have good corporate sponsorship so would be worth doing - but probably unlikely.)

Actually you've jumped to a massive conclusion of my views, London's problems have been largely to do with a "build it and they will come" mentality.

Poor Management and no Marketing and ofcourse the failure to secure a single, accessible and permanent base/stadia of our own.

However my comment refers to LB's management thinking that some sort of cross-code co-operation is the answer, when at the end of the day, we in RL London have nothing to offer them in return, in business co-operation is a two way thing and we constantly come to the table with nothing.

I hope that clarifies that I'm not just bashing the "punt-monkies", more our managements position.

I'm pleased the fat has been pulled out of the fire. However, the most important issue for the Broncos is not to simply breathe a sigh of relief and then carry on as before. The club's been in a spiral downwards for the best part of five years now, and the fact that they got so close to extinction - and that they are now 6 weeks away from the first game, but don't yet have enough bodies to fill 13 shirts - points to a dreadful case of poor administration.

Responsibility for that has to lie with Mackay. He's overseen a collapse in crowds, a collapse in relationships with the few fans who are left, the departure from a ground without a replacement, the end of the academy just as it was becoming promising, the departure of key members of staff, and then this cliff-edge pantomime. Throw in rumours about unpaid bills and wages, and you're looking at a maladministration catastrophe.

There's an old saying about madness being to do the same thing but expect different results. Broncos have hung on in existence by the skin of their teeth. There need to be changes at the top. My hope is that Kleanthous will join the board of Broncos and see Mackay depart the club, to be replaced by someone with better ideas, better contacts and better skills.

At the moment, all we have is a stay of execution. It'll take more than this for a reprieve.
