I wonder about Williamson. On the Wellsi shirt promo, he was given as the one squad member who wasn't around to sign the shirt. Not sure when that was though.

Willie Mason anyone

This is like a repeat of every other pre season.
First the injuries, now players leaving: just like Haumono, Faumuina, Fa'afili etc.

Technically we have 2x quota spots open, but one of those places is for a player who holds an EU passport or equivalent. And apparently we aren't going to fill that space, a decision which I disagree with. We should sign a halfback or centre, but I imagine we will get another back rower.

Attempting to put a positive spin on it: whilst the timing is not ideal, players always become available during the season for various reasons (Greg Bird!). Every year there's at least one mid season signing who turns out to be quite handy. The question is whether we will be able to attract them, because the Crusaders need to strengthen as well. They have 19 players at present.

Maybe there's something in the works as it's by mutual consent?

If one of those spots is for an EU passport holder i wonder what Monsieur Rinaldi's availability is? As for an available overseas player we'll just have to keep an eye out on NRL players who've been out on a bender / crashed a car while drunk / hit a punter in a bar (or girlfriend) etc... and see if their club wants shot of them!

I know its probably bad form to quote yourself but maybe if Gutterfax is reading this perhaps he could go out on the lash with a half decent Warriors player and then get him to do one of the above, thus facilitating a possible move to us!

In a recent League Express two of the fourteen young players to watch this year had been on our books but we had let them go (Tony Gigot; Dennis Tuffour) whereas our young player to watch is on loan from another club.

Remember at Brentford with England v Australia I was sat with the Aussies and when Willie Mason starting charging down the pitch brushing England players aside the cry went out 'Get your Willies out!' and about a dozen stood up and put on their dreadlock wigs on (like Willie Mason had the time).

Be fantastic signing, even though he has lost pace and could be trouble, if only for the publicity.

And on another note yes Mason would be nice, he might or perfer London to Wrexham now that he might not be going to Melbourne Storm he could come here and play against them instead.

If it's down to injury troubles then its not an organisational problem, its bad luck for all concerned.
