| Okay, I am going to ask the question.
I think we are safe in assuming that at best we are going to have a drastically reduced season. In truth, as far as spectators go, we may well get no more rugby games that we can attend this season.
So what do you think the club should do regarding season tickets? We have paid our money.

| Am not a season ticket holder but this is in line with refunds from travel companies etc
Do clubs give partial refunds? That means individual customers get there money back but could be the nail in the coffin for survival of the club.
Do clubs give vouchers for discount on the next season. Advantage is this year financial hit not as bad, but its rolled over to the next season with reduced income, helps the club out but if club then go bust money is lost.
Should some of the rfl loan be allocated towards fans getting at least some money back?
Will some clubs ask fans to I effect donate the money to help clubs I survival fight.
Legally I suspect clubs should be refunding season tickets are in effect a pre paid contract to provide entrance to an agreed number of games.

| If a fan has a genuine need of a refund I hope the club would consider it - but only after the season is abandoned.
I haven't made a single game this year, I always miss the start of the season due to health challenges. Thankfully my job is currently ok and I won't be asking for my money back. The club still has bills to pay.

| I can't see the club being in a position to offer refunds. Perhaps a discount on next year's ST but not sure what else could be offered.

| The decision as to what to do regarding season tickets does not have to be made at this time. How things work out as far as home games that fans can attend this season will be the deciding factor.
The club does have a history of doing things in a way that angers fans. Whatever they come up with, needs also to be put over in a diplomatic way. Our fans are very loyal, do not just go and trample over them with some crummy offer. I am sure our fans are sympathetic to the clubs plight. But they are more than customers. The administrators need to thing hard to find a solution. I do not envy them the task.

| They are virtually given away, so I for one will not be demanding my money back. What was the point in taking part in the prize draws and the group player sponsorship.
I won't be the only one that has saved a fortune in travel and associated costs, so in the big scheme I'm quids in. We live in tough times, which is why I have been happy to take vouchers from hotel operators to protect jobs, but have taken cash from Northern Rail as they are nationalised.

| I'm in the fortunate position that I would accept not having my refund returned for mine and son's Gold tix if that relatively small amount of money 1) can help retain the current squad and 2) a minor reduction is seen in next years tix price. Equally, I do appreciate the position of Bosty and others.

Yeah but thankfully no one has suffered as a result, eh?
Unlike when our politicians quote stats.

Unfortunately i cant discuss stuff like that on here mate. And genuinely, at the moment, you guys know as much as we do and we will continue to keep you informed when decisions are made by the RFL etc.

Agreed B. It would me nice to get some clarify MonkeyLover.
The sort of things I want to know, are things that arent speculation, like:
Is the squad back in training at ET practicing social distancing, etc ?
Or, has the squad and staff been furloughed? (are these mutually exclusive?)
Has anybody been made redundant as a result of the lockdown?
What is the contract situation for players?
Are we in the process of recruiting for 2021?
How is the relationship standing up with ET, given they are in a similar boat?
Can you outline what David's current thoughts are on the short and medium term?
We hear a lot (too much) about Beaumont's (Leigh's) views, but not much from LB?

There is not a lot I can say on some subjects for a variety of reasons however I can point out that training would of course not fit into government guidelines right now given the maximum allowed is a group of 6 friends staying 2m apart and if I was furloughed I would not be allowed to send an email out to you. I also would not be doing that if I was redundant.
Even before all of this you would hear a lot from certain owners/ceo's and much less from others. I'm not sure anything has changed there.
ST holders will continue to get updated now, probably on a weekly basis, and some weeks there may be more info than others but we are as much in the dark as you guys. As with the lockdown rules things change all of the time.

Before my time the club were chastised for lack of communication with supporters therefore we have decided recently that it is vital this changes moving forward. I would love to have been able to report some good news but at the moment there is nothing to say. However, rather than just stay silent and be accused of not updating the fans, I updated them with what little bit of info I could to reassure them that once we know something they will be the first to know.

| Training for elite sportsmen IS permitted under current rules IF the governing body has reviewed and approved the sports return. The paper recommends phasing up the number of people present and avoiding equipment sharing. Social distancing rules do apply when not involved in technical training.
You will find the announcement and guidance paper issued by Oliver Dowden on May 25th online

I'm fully aware of the announcement but not sure how that applies to today, or indeed the day the update was sent out? Once there is something to announce it will be announced.

| In your post at 9.36 today you stated training would not currently be possible due to current government guidelines. I am simply pointing out that's cobblers. As you now say you already know.
I actually don't exxpect the club to be in training as I'm not aware of p the RFL signing it off, a requirement. However to say it's not possible to train as you are restricted by the government to six people at 2m distances is not true

I will indulge once but in all fairness I'm not sure I need to explain this and think you're being deliberately awkward.
Firstly, the RFL have made no decision on this so no, we cant train. Secondly, until Monday we cant even get together in groups of 6 to train without causing problems for ourselves.
I'm sorry if my wording wasnt to your liking but as I said it is not possible for the club to start training at the moment due to the fact we neither have RFL exemption or its early enough to make use of the small groups ruling, which in itself would be pointless.
