Retention of customer base during a transition is a key driver of any business. Whilst fans of a club are less likely to move to the competition i.e. another club, the expectation that fans can be treated as dispensible and do need even more engagement at this time is laughable. Unless of course the club know that they'll get a capacuty crowd at Wimbledon and don't need them
