Hull FC owner Adam Pearson has issued the following statement after last night’s play-off defeat to Huddersfield Giants.
“On behalf of the club, I want to apologise unreservedly for the embarrassing performance that was produced in our play-off fixture last night.
“The obvious failings of such a performance have highlighted why we will now undertake a significant review of all areas and matters involving the first-team squad.
“Last night’s performance was not acceptable at any level and I must apologise to all our supporters, especially the thousand or so that made the journey to Huddersfield on a week night and cheered on their team from the first minute to the last.
“As a gesture of good will from the club, every supporter who attended the game will receive the admission price of their ticket as a discount when renewing or buying a season pass for 2014.
“If they have already purchased their season pass, they will receive a refund to the value of the admission price.
“The standard of last night’s performance was unsatisfactory, inadequate and far below the standards we should be setting at this club, and the on-going review process will now look at every detail of that.
“Once again I must apologise to everyone and assure all our supporters that we remain committed to delivering consistent success at Hull FC for years to come and we won’t rest until we have achieved that.”
Supporters who attended the game can present their match ticket at the Hull FC retail stores when purchasing or renewing a 2014 season pass, or if they have already bought or renewed their pass they can show their ticket in conjunction with a season pass receipt to claim their refund. This can be done from Monday morning at 9am.'"
Better warn Mr Hughes there'll be a line of fans looking for season ticket refunds on Monday
