I spoke to someone who has worked at Surrey Cricket Club for many years, and decided to ask them what Gus was like at Surrey.
She said he was ok in her opinion (he was her boss's boss) but wanted to do everything himself. That caused some friction. He was also trying to bring change into the organisation.
She didn't think he was particularly worse than other people who have run Surrey CC.
