interesting story, the comments on english league short comings hit straight to the point, straight contra deal for super league? not all games televised, so lacking video refs half the time, poor defence.
so other than money from sky rfl is unable get any extra cash for the comp thru sponsorship... this is a comp whatched in uk, france and as far as i know covered in nz by maori tv and on eurosports in australia... super league should be able to get couple million $ a year in sponsorship.
with bein sports in france covering all catalans games and sky covering 3 games per week they need the remaining games on tv.... need games played on terrestrial tv either delayed or highlights package at a decent hour nation wide in england!
poor defence... really shows up when australia plays england in a test the ozzie defence is a level above what englan are used to which create errors in english attack or drives player to do something extremly risky which usually dosnt come off....
im not going to be like a lot of people in the media in australia (phil ghould etc) and rubbish the super league, it is the worlds second best league comp and best in the northern hemisphere and on occasion it rivals the nrl, but gower has played at highest level and is point out some obvious improvements super league can make to its game...
will get our defence up to scratch next season then. We have enough Aussies here fresh from the NRL to know what is required so if the defence is still crap i guess it means the players (or coach) are not up to it!?

This is a good point, but do we have the players who can operate such a defence? I read lots of stuff about Quantum physics but I have no idea how it works!
