Quote ="nkpom"The two match "Series" against the Exiles has been shown up for the farce it is. I thought the idea was to give England a chance to work together in camp and play in two (hopefully moving to three) intense rep matches. What happened? After winning Game 1 the team was completely dismantled to "see what the fringe players can do". Is that not the reason the Knights exist?
Origin is such great preparation for Test football because every game is intense for 80 minutes. Even if a State were 2-0 up with 1 to play they wouldn't "see what the fringe players can do"!
If you want intensity, pick your best team every time. That goes for the Exiles too. If not, play France and Wales and be done with it.'"
Well said!
I think the idea of the Exiles is a good one but if Macnamara isn't going to pick his strongest side then it really isn't worth bothering with it! I thought this would provide 2 good quality oppositions for a full strength England as we head towards RLWC 2013, and the hope of a good performance and dare I say it a home win - Looks like after a promising start last year the Exiles games will turn out to be a missed opportunity!
