Don't under estimate how important terrestrial coverage is. I have vague memories of Grandstand showing rugby league back in the 80s and early 90s but was never a fan. Football was all that mattered. Then one Sunday in 2008 I literally stumbled across a Challenge Cup semi on the BBC. Ended up watching the whole game and loved it. I'm not a fan of Union and had always seen "rugby" as one pretty tedious sport. But the game I saw on the Beeb was totally different to what I thought "rugby" was.

I did a quick search online to find if there was a southern team and ended up going to the Quins RL next game (last game of the season v Catalans). It helped that Quins won that game - don't underestimate the importance of a winning team too! - but just as important was that the whole experience was family friendly and loads of kid-friendly stuff going on. Don't under estimate the appeal of Buck and Dusty and facepainting!

Exactly. Rugby League is on far more often, and domestic Union is hidden away on that ghastly Pay TV, a lot of it on a channel where you have to pay another tenner on top of your offensive Pay TV subscription.

So your suggestion that is better than the current arrangement? still waiting. I also look forward to your analysis of the 'target market' and your thoughts regarding the viewing figures that Super League somehow pulls in its dreadful time slot.

Exactly...these games are planned well in advance and budgets are set....media involved, space booked, PR and Press engaged etc..........
I suggested a few ideas for the visit of Widnes in June, but Moe seemed to take exception to anything where the club might lose a few bob.....perish the thought of the Broncos losing a few bob by attempting to get more fans to games
