Sitting in the LV stand you could see how knackered he was when he came off. When David Howell comes back perhaps Lamont Bryan could be given a week off.



'Norman' Lamont Bryan is still learning the trade as a second-row. I'd rather have him taking the ball cleanly (something that goes for the whole team), but he will have to start getting the ball on the go. He does offer support if there is an offload though.



He is fast becoming the Dirk Kuyt of Harlequins Rugby League; effort endures you to the fans, but at the back of our minds we know he isn't quite good enough to be a top player.

I thought his effort was outstanding and as you said he is still learning the trade as a backrower, i'm really looking forward to see how he develops over the next 18 months.

Harlequins need help from the RFL, you are producing some very good talent and they need the backing of all in the game. Sadly we have a very insular approach, I'm sick of reading about your crowds and "what do the Quins bring to RL" when half their teams are Wigan cast offs.

Taking the ball standing still appears to be a trait of the London Trained players

The Skolars are past masters at it. I they get a penalty on the opponents 10 yrd line, they finish the set 20 back! Really, if you are set well back, you can hit the line at speed. Tank Gordon used to have the line out from a scrum back 30 yards and boy was the ball travelling when Mark Johnson got it.
