I heard it from two different sources but have no idea if it is true. Both said at the end of the season.

I still cannot see it as Brierley is likely to be in for Grix. Unless our plan is Wood and Ellis for next season.

Opinion seems to be he has been signed to play full back.....has he ever played there?

Ryan would be better employed at 7 than FB, he just doesn't have the size or strength in the tackle to be a good FB IMHO.
I do think he will surprise you by how quick & elusive he is with ball in hand, he gets off the mark so fast.

If your coaching squad can bulk him up & if they have the time to coach him into a good FB then fine, but I don't think this is his best position or that he would ever make a 'Great' FB.

His try rate at Leigh was phenomenal.

Now that the media circus is settling down, you have a cracking young player with loads of potential. I too think Ryan will make a good full back, where he can use his pace and eye for a half chance. Reading your coaching team comments from a few weeks ago, I'm sure they see him as a full back too.

again no one can question the giants desire to succeed after this signing, leeds, salford wanted him but he came to us and it sounds like anderson and thewlis played a big part in him deciding where to go. anderson has done well with his castleford links, brierley played for cas previously.

nice to get one over on leeds too after they signed ferres and mullally.

the ferres money will have gone now on this lad as he wont have been cheap.

we have to give the lad time too as its a step up from the championship but we all know his potential.
i dont expect to see the best of him till next season, its going to be hard to adjust so give him time.

he can replace brough long term but i expect he will play full back for us in the short and replace grix.

He played Leigh, Leeds & Huddersfield for more money. He is already upsetting the Huddersfield applecart due to him discussing money with people.

I would expect some drama in Huddersfield in the coming weeks.
