agree, he has been good this season, but for 10 years he hasn't really been anything special- i know he's had bad injuries, but i don't think he is any better than what we have, and certainly not an improvement on jason chan!

saying that though he wouldn't be a bad signing if we could fit him in, if fooey leaves then that could happen, but i wouldn't be happy if we had to lose 2 quality players for 1 who's had a good season upto now

props dont really mature until there late 20s. Huby is just coming into his prime. he is one of the best props in SL IMHO

Agree 100% and would have been England prop if had played for one of the so called bigger clubs and hadn't had the knee injury. Great ball handling prop and not many of them about at present

Leeds won bugger all last year as did Saints and Wire. So called

Big fan of Huby. We've seen players come into our coaching set up and improve. A maturing, improving Huby is an exciting thought. How salary space is made available is the interesting dilemma, but we've been crying out for our front row to be strengthened, and this would be perfect.

Plus, he has a great beard.

He is due a testimonial next season.....not sure if that has any bearing in him staying/leaving.

He's in his testimonial season NOW which is probably why we failed to sign him for this year when we tried.

the reason chan is thrown into the equation is because he is ooc and we have ready made replacements in taai and patrick in his position. also he is a big earner with faiumu at the giants.

I called the poster out on his so called bigger clubs comment. I didn't mention any clubs by name, but its obvious who the bigger clubs are, to deny it is just daft, but let's take Leeds for example, highest attendances, biggest profits and regularly contests and wins major finals. Now the implication that a club stops being a big club as they didn't win a trophy last season is daft. Saints haven't won trophies for a few years, but are well run, have good crowds and for the last decade have been there or there abouts. Are Saints not a big club?, are Wire not a big club? Is the only big club Wigan? To claim there is no rank in stature of the SL clubs is a totally daft concept.

I don't agree it would be a big signing but it would be a very good one that I would be happy with!

If the rumours are true I think this would be a very welcome signing.

Huby is a strong prop who has been Castleford's best or 2nd best offloader in every season since 2008 - which when combined with his handling skills should add another dimension to our attack.

He will definitely improve us and has a great engine and will probably be on the field longer than any of our other props.
