| You can't fault it in my view. This season it was made clear would be a one off, prices are still pretty decent, we have to bring in a bit more money next season. We need people to look at the big picture and compare them aganst other clubs. We are a top side they have to charge a bit more next season to keep us there. Well done KD.

| Quote ="Durham Giant"The discount for introducing someone new is a great idea. I will be getting two new people there next season which means that our tickets will be £115 each as we will split the discount. So it is only a £35 rise which is great news. I am not sure about opening the end stand up as it may spread the support thinner in a big ground.'"
Would make more sense if the saving was actually set from the off. More encouragement for the new ticket holder to firstly get the ticket, and secondly allow you to be their 'referral'.

| I think they've gone up too much. My wife definately won't renew (baby Digger due soon) and given that I will miss 2 or 3 due to hols, clashes with Town games and Sky scheduling, I very much doubt I will either. I bet there are a good number of others in the same situation (missing a couple of games) to make it not worthwhile buying a season ticket. They could have sold it well if they'd gone up to a tenner a game (£130) but to go up to £180 is too much. Great offer this season and thanks very much but it does seem to be a waste to put them straight up so much.

| The prices for this season were always a one off so if you compare to 2008 then they have not increased.
A club cannot be financially viable in super league on the prices on offer this season.
If the club is prepared to invest in quality international players then the fans should be prepared to pay a bit extra.
I still would be prepared to bet it is the cheapest ticket in Super League next season.
And there is always the offer to sit behind the sticks.

| without trying to rip the club off if you and a mate renew but one of you is in theory the new new season ticket holder then you can still get a ticket for £115 each. One of you will need to register in a new address but that shouldn't be too difiicult to manage.

Not a fan of watching from behind the posts - not every week anyway - so I wouldn't fancy this. Just think that given it was such a success in getting new ST holders this season the jump back to more appropriate prices could have been more incremental to give more of a chance of keeping more of them. I think they have missed a bit of a trick but that's only my opinion. Like I say, they're two down from this household but I'll still be going when I can.

Would have been more appealing if it came with following for winter time.
1) Hat & Glove set
2) Umbrella

One option is to find someone new who may want a ST and split the difference. You get a ST for £115! There may be fans near where you sit - not ST holders- who may give it a go. Just a thought.
Hopefully many fans will 'join the sales team'

If KD is going to charge the astronomical price of £95 for 13 SL gams + 1 CC for an end on view he should:
Personally take fans to and from the stadium
Provide each fan with an monogrammed blanket to keep them warm
Personally deliver a half time tea or coffee to each fan
Sign Lockyer and Inglis
Come on Ken...back the club!!!!

I can see what you are saying but the thing is we are a good team - if we want to be a great team then we, the fans, have to help Ken out and put our hands in our pockets for a change. I and the rest of my clan will be renewing, I love my team and want them to be great. It wont be the case for everyone but thats the way I see it.

| Or, if you don't have anybody to introduce, you could always (between two of you) person A could say that the ticket is for example, for his wife, when really its for a friend. Then just split the difference. They never check whos ticket it actually is.

| I don't think it matters who the second ticket is for as it's for introducing a new person to the ST offer, whether that be a family member, a friend, or someone you drag off the street, KD wants to build the fanbase and this offer is very very clever IMO.
For anyone unfortunate enough not able to afford the price then team up with a STH which you should be able to find there's c5.5K of them at the Pharm on Sunday, and discuss the option of doubling up and both of you will effectively get the ticket for 115 quid.
Alternatively if you still can't stump up this then the 95 quid offer is still on the table which is 7.30 a SL game, superb value.

www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/rugby-le ... 5491051.jp
interesting article but the key bit has to be
This season's success has been the result of hard work behind the scenes, led by chairman Ken Davy.
He doubled the amount of season ticket holders to 5,500 by cutting prices to as little as £80 this year.
Davy has plans to build on that figure next season. How many clubs bring out a newspaper for fans just so they can promote their season ticket prices? The Giants do.
Next year Huddersfield fans will pay just £60 for their season ticket if they refer a friend to get a season pass, too, plus all primary school children get free tickets.
Davy said: "I have consistently stated publicly that I cannot take the club forward alone and this offer gives you the chance to directly influence our future direction and the opportunity to put this great club back to the very top of the game
We need to all do our best to sell new season tickets. Davy will not be here forever so we need to make sure the club can stand on its own two feet.
I will be getting 2 if not 3 new season ticket holders for next season

| One thing that hasn't been highlighted is the massive leap in match day prices and no mention of the early bird offers still available next season which many away fans have taken advantage of.
At £20 for all areas I can just imagine that, despite being one of the cheapest for seating and no matchday price rises for at least 3 seasons, away fans will still moan about us being very expensive. But still as a family sport a family of 4, whose kids are under 12, coming on matchday will pay a maximum of £40 what other superleague club can offer that next season?
