Ganson thought he had knocked it on. When he went to the VR that is what he asked. It was only on closer viewing that it was a bad PTB by which time the VR has to give the try. A stupid rule but that is the rule. ALTHOUGH i am sure last season a VR ruled no try becuase of an incorrect PTB.

Maybe not but unless rules changed since I played the man playing ball cannot interfere with the marker either? Watch it again and the rovers player plays the ball (incorrectly) but then he grabs hold of Ferguson the Giants defender and prevents him getting a tackle in, no-one picked up on this?

according to sky justin morgan wanted to call the game off at half time and giants wanted to carry on playing

Morgan said after the game he said that if the lights didn't come back on. Morgan was on the pitch with ganson and the rest of the officials checking the visibility.

He went on to say that the lights came back on and the rest is history. The game continued which was the best thing to happen.

With regard to THAT try, Ganson was going to give it until he received a call from the TJ. The ball was initially played backwards correctly but was then dragged forwards.
