Can't agree with that meast, there is no way in the world we were the better team, They were very even I will grant you and our line defence was quite superb. Leeds had that bit more in attack that comes with experience.
Had Wardle given that pass I don't know if Grix would have made it, I do know that Wardle didn't, and he never looked for support till Hardaker had him, and he never looked like he would beat the full back.

good points, especially about grix, i said to a mate today that even pulling hall back and getting a yellow for a professional foul would have been a better option, but it's easy for us to say what he should have done etc, we aren't the ones faced with a split second decision in a high pressure situation like that,

Because the chance to complete a treble is a very rare thing.

It's not our fault that Hudds could only achieve a LLS under a league format where teams held back and paced themselves. We just won it under a format when all the teams were pushing and we managed to go all the way to Wembley at the same time. Hudds only won it in 2013 because Wigan took their foot off the gas to get themselves the cup and leave something for the playoffs.

Since Leeds always distribute prize money 100% to the players there is little doubt that the team was keen to win the LLS this year with the £100k now attached. However, even then Sinfield and McDermott were willing to sacrifice it in favour of guaranteeing the home play off by taking the two from the shoulder charge penalty to get the draw rather than run it to see if they could find the miracle play.

"Something sensible".....coming from a guy who referenced Hudds winning 4 in a season which was around 100 years ago? We're talking modern day, and all you lot are doing are kidding yourselves if you think the big boys always threw all their weight into the regular seasons and didn't pace themselves to be peak form come playoff time.

The big three's good playoffs records compared to Hudds constant disappointing playoff record shows this perfectly.

Its significance is different now because the league format is different.....you're doing a good job of making yourself look stupid by pretending the circumstances were the same.
