It was the TJ that told the referee it was a high-shot I think. Thats still bad, Alibert was only 5m away from the challenge. To be honest, he lost control did Alibert at some points.

3 great finishes from hodgy. The last one was superb and don't think any other giant could have finished it off. Someone said he is playing for contract, but I think his motivation is he is playing for his place next week. Depth of our squad and him not being picked for a month must really focus the mind.
Same for other players...
I still wonder if we know our best 17 , but who cares if the 17 we pick all perform to their potential.

very scrappy game i thought but we had that bit extra class in the end, the extra class being brough,brown,robinson and dave hodgson! for a guy that shouldn't be anywhere near our first team squad according to some on here, his finishing once again proved crucial, 3 terrific finishes that probably no one else could have done,plus a great piece of play for bruno's try shows the know nothings just how much class hodgson has, no doubt he missed a tackle though so thats why he shouldn't play next week


as for the yeaman incidents, the one on grix was high but not malicious it looked worse because of the speed and power of the collision, but yeamans hand was around grix's neck so high tackle was right call.the spear tackle on leroy was a bad one and it wouldn't surprise me if he was visiting red hall for that.

I didnt see one Hull fan in the main (tunnel) stand get up and applud Grix off the field either....everyone of them just sat there , must admit thats the 1st time i've ever seen no one applaud an injured man off the field from a whole stand.

And i said at the time the hit was legal just very hard and awkward and there was no way the ref was going to send him off and i was actually surprised he gave us the penalty.

The RFL should be taking a look at the tactics of Hull. Working on players heads is supposed to be illegal yet we ended the game with Gilmour and Hodgson in head bandages, Grix off with a head injury and Gilmour and Cudjoe victims of spear tackles.

I think credit must also go to the two Danny's. Brough plays to the coaches instructions and he has speed to burn. When you look back at when he played for Cas and got sent off against us at our place years ago, he is a completely different player now. He has discipline. No petulance any more. Just a lad playing, brain switched on and mouth switched off with regards the ref and NB has made him a far better player on that alone, never mind the other stuff he's taught him. And Kirmond, well, I though he worked his nuts off yesterday and put himself everywhere. I tip my cap to Mason as well, who monkeyed Fitzgibbon second half. No mean feat.

Bit of pot and kettle there mate, the amount of wrestling on the floor and constantly been offside you got away with was ridiculous at times, however I dont blame huddersfield if you can get away with it do it.

No doubt you deserved to win though because of our lack of respect for the ball so well done and good luck for the rest of the season.

Think the point being made is that what Hull were doing could have caused injury to our players heads etc ....dont think been offside actually causes players to need bandages !

From were I was sat there wasn't any dirty play from Hull, apart from Yeamo's spear tackle and you lot wasn't entirely innocent yourselves after Yeaman was caught around his forehead in the first half but nothing given because he didnt have the ball and when Manu destroyed Gilmore he waited till a little bloke in a Hull shirt (Sharp) got the ball and collered him.

Just take a look at Hulls Disciplinary record on the RFL website. Going backwards the last 8 or 9 are all head / grapple tackles. Infact only one I saw wasn't.

It's pretty clear that Agar has decided to coach his team to aim for the head.

Very clever of a destroyed Gilly to go on to make several quality tackles + several hit ups and quck ptbs..oh and he managed to score a try.......truly destroyed

Tough as teak is Gilly. Oh, and BTW our less cerebral Hull chums: Gilmour.

i saw a fair few incidents and i wasn't even at the game
i think there was a few naughty things from both sides to be fair but only one teams players had blood gushing out of their heads

Hull weren;t dirty or do you all know more than your coach who said Hull hit hard but fair.

Hull may have done a couple of high shots etc, but you did exactly the same.

Need to take your blinkers off.

Tough battle on Sunday, halfbacks made the difference, along with our poor handling.

Really impressed with with Hudds since brown took over made a great (mainly English) sqaud who work hard for each other, would love to see you win something this year, which I think you have a good chance of.

What a coach Brown is.
