Quite possibly, remember we played Town a few times in the early 90s after Dudley Lewis had switched between the 2 clubs so maybe that is the root of it rather than UB40.

How about for the games against the teams with less away support, which everyone seems to acknowledge dampens the atmosphere, we have there fans in the the Kilner Bank stand like we used to have, albeit in the end blocks as there was always a better atmosphere when fans were in the same stand anyway ??

but was def better atmosphere when the fans used to mix, used to get pretty heated too as they wanted to sit in the middle amongst us home fans!

but also with them being side on they would influence the ref decisions abit more too so prob not a good idea all said

thats why i said for clubs with little away support....stick them in an end block, we can still have some banter with them while not close enough to boil over. IMO that would help our fans make a bit more noise too. it probably wont happen but just a suggestion cos the atmosphere was loads better then.

sometimes it was our own fans fighting amongst themselves

the only trouble was with Hull and Leeds fans, it was originally those 2 sets of fans who were given the South Stand.

Will be interested to hear what feedback there is from the supporters associating piece in the examiner wrt the chanting issue. Hopefully it will yield positive results.

Though I suspect the main problem there is still the Nathan Brown effect...people waiting to see if our season collapses

Loads better today atmosphere wise, and was it just me but the music seemed to be turned down loads today which let the crowd make some noise - it was still there but barely audible in our stand which if done on purpose i applaud as it certainly helped the atmosphere as well as the silly gimmicky in-game music which i didnt notice too. If someone at the club read this and acted upon it - THANK YOU !!

It was just you. The music was just as loud and to be fair added to the atmosphere.

After about 6 minutes the Britannia rescue were so loud that it was loud over in the Direct Golf.

The couple of hundred Hull KR fans who came helped the atmosphere too. Well down from their heady days of bringing 7,000 fans

Riverside. It was definitely playing to there. I sit on that side towards the Fantastic media 25 yard line. Loads of families in there an the Kids love the music.

maybe it was just in your stand then cos it was very quiet over our way which made for a much improved atmosphere.
