How big are flags lads? The hgsa one looked a fair size when I saw it at KR match.

Ref the Ken Davy flag / banner idea, I'd be up for putting towards a fund for one. We could set something up on paypal, to collate funds? I'll look into it (either setting up myself or to help someone else set up).

I'll have a look for prices etc and feedback.

Don't forget that all flags entering the stadium need a fire certificate and the stadium management need to see this before the event!

I used to put mine up in the FMU a few seasons back, I think the Britannia Rescue would be a good option.

Still no feedback from stadium manager. I'll try ringing tomorrow. Regards fire certification and dealing with stewards etc, it may make it easier if we offer to meet up with stewards at same time pre match? to make it easier for them. Shows willing on our side, which tends to go some way.

Yeah Barmy Flags, they supplied me with a fire certificate. The HGSA one is from Barmy Flags too great quality but they come with a cost. The KSDL staff were really helpful a few years back, I can't see why they would not allow us to place our flags in the stadium. I will see if I can put mine up on Sunday.

Yeah, stewards were fine with me before. Seem a good lot. I've met some right bar stewards working grounds when following Wednesday for the footie.

For the fanzine I wanted something for home games to go at the back of the BR stand, to be held all game? More like a tall rectangular one! The fanzine are very happy to push all flags as I will make the GAMEDAY look so much better!

Flags cannot be seen when they are placed at the back of the stands.

I'd put £40/£50 in to get the ball rolling. Would be good to get a flag fund going if enough like minded folk were up for it.

I'd be willing to chip in. Spent enough making flags over the years, the big Well Done Wire one included, but none of them have a fire certificate, and with all the fires they've caused over the years I feel it's only right that we purchase one that is safe. If enough cough up, a tenner each might do.

As an aside. Last year's play off game at Wire, loads of people took scarves to hold up for when we sing 'Wise Men'. I thought that looked really good. We should do it each game?

Regarding flag area, what do people think of fantastic media upper? I'm imagining would be less hassle for stewards as they don't have to worry about if anyone wants to sit where flags are. Would be more visible from more parts of ground and on the tele?

Would be easier to build up a larger collection there without worrying about encroaching into allocated seats.....

Had a really positive response from stadium management about having a designated flag / banner display area. They're having a meeting tomorrow to discuss potential areas in stadium and logistics etc. Stadium manager has promised to respond further tomorrow, and wants to meet / discuss later in the week.

So game on for Sunday (fingers crossed).

Reference having collections for larger flags; I've looked into setting up fundraising pages with several websites, but they take a percentage (4-5%) which I'm not keen on. I'm going to contact club about whether they would assist with organising a fund, that we all pay into.

Was it up at the FC game? There were a few up. Just need them up at home games and we'll be up and running.

Not had chance to bring mine down yet, I will however have it in block 10 for the CAS game. I will see if I can drape it over the middle tier for the Magic weekend too.

I know it seems an eternity since this was first posted but after think about it I think the fans of the club should try and get some crowdfunding going for some flags in the stadium! I have had some design ideas and 4Fs will fully back this and I hope HGSA would too! How many of you would be willing to put money in? If we could get some designs going and have a vote on the first banner/flag we could get some excitement going?
