Whilst I assume and both hope you're joking, it's a bit concerning the attitude of your fans seems to be 'well the tickets are cheap so the Rhinos fans should buy them to fill the ground' rather than encouraging your own fans to do so. I'd certainly be embarrassed if my home team were outsold by the away team.

| that's the point we are making here, our fans have bought, we only have 4-5000 fans, leeds have anything from 12-15,000 so I would say its leeds "fans" that haven't bought tickets.
if by our "fans" you mean the general public of Huddersfield, then theres not a lot we can do about them!

i dont personally care who buys the tickets as long as it creates a decent crowd and atmosphere and helps it be a cracking day, we keep getting told how our support is crap and how we have no fans etc so other fans shouldn't complain when 'our fans' dont sell loads of tickets !!
Our fans have bought them, the general public of Huddersfield and the surrounding areas obviously haven't - nowt we as Giants fans can do about that apart from try and get people to come.

Why should we expect 14,000 Leeds fans to go to an away game, we take 3,000 odd to Semi's and 15,000 to Wembley and we expect Leeds to bring similar to a tie early in the competition.
Madness
And have all our fans bought tickets there were between 6,500 and 7,000 Giants fans there yesterday I would guess and under half seem to have tickets for Saturday (perhaps 500 or so junior season ticket holders do not need one granted) but still seems a shotfall to me.

| As a non fan why would you go watch a sport where only 1 of 4 teams can win the cups and the same 4 teams are involved in the finals season on season?

| But seriously, every sport and every competition nearly, has their top clubs that dominate for a period of time. Only 5 teams have ever won the Premiership (and that includes Blackburn's '95 flash in the pan). Since 1984 only 5 teams have won La Liga (including 12 titles apiece for Real and Barca). Between 2000 and 2010 Leicester and Wasps won 10 of the 11 RU premiership titles. RL doesn't these days do badly at all in terms of number of competitive teams at the top of the league I don't think. To say the same 4 team are involved in the final year on year is a bit odd as well, given the rise of Wire, Catalans and to an extent ourselves in the last 5 or 6 years, and also Hull FC before that. I'm sorry, I just don't see that as a valid reason why people don't come to watch.

| i called up Sat morning to book 4 tickets, i asked for the Leeds end and she said it was sold out and Leeds fans now are being put in with the Hudds fans in the main stand but she insisted that there will be plenty of Leeds fans there, going on ticket sales so far
question for hudds fans, as ive never been before, do we get allocated seats or can we sit where ever in that stand?

| Unreserved seats, but bear in mind that our season ticket holders can take their season ticket books and use it for their own seat so i guess its best to try and avoid seats that have a 'Giants Reserved' sticker on them. How this is going to be 'policed' is another matter.

cheers for reply, sorry if this has been covered somewhere but we're arriving at the train station a couple of hrs before KO. Where is good to go for a few pints? is there a street with a good number of pubs/bars to choose from?
cheers

| there's loads of places in town, 2 pubs at either end of the train station, King Street is the main Bar area these days it seems, 2 wetherspoons - one just round corner from station, or nearer the ground there's the Gas club just before you get to the stadium ( look for the big Gasometer) which has plenty of away fans in usually.

I don't want to come across as a typical whinging RL fan, but why did they make it unreserved seating? Surely this will cause problems on Saturday, especially if you re saying season ticket holders can actually take up their seat (even though it says unreserved). What if a group of 3 or 4 fans, unaware of this, get to the stadium early to get a good seat, only for a season ticket holder to come trotting in 10 mins before kick off and demand his seat. The rest of the stand is packed now and these supporters cant get seats together or have to go sit in the corner somewhere.
Can anyone else see this becoming a problem?

| there are "Giants Reserved" stickers on any seats that are season ticket holder seats if in doubt i find most stewards are helpful in showing where some non-reserved seating is

| Yep, simply avoid the ones with 'giants reserved' on . the others that jsut say 'reserved' are football ones and therefore unreserved for the rugby.

They are only aloud to sell 90% of actual capacity when seating is unreserved, this is to avoid such problems.

| as a general rule, I would say if leeds fans stick to the wings of the stand rather than the middle it will be fine as most giants fans occupy the middle blocks.
