cant stress enough how much damage those seasons getting hammered and finishing bottom every season in super league did to the club...

we have missed a generation of fans with this and its taking some getting back.. we have very little fans in the age bracket 20 - 30 im afraid.. they prefer football nowadays

but still i would say our away following is growing slowly, much better than years ago!!

Anyway we know we have poor attendances, both home and away.

Maybe you should just be appreciative that we turned out in numbers today, I'm not going to debate how many Hull fans were in that stand but it was a big turnout.

What was today's crowd. Didn't hear the announcement.

Not many from Hull though. Catalans brought more.

It's the NUMBERS on the field that count, pal.

I do appreciate those that do visit our stadium. I just don't like it when there's some who say they'll be bringing this number and that number, and then well we filled that stand so we brought half the attendance, when they didn't. Thankfully The FC fans weren't as bad as the KR fans when they came for the cup saying they were bringing 6000 over and refused to accept that they failed to even bring half that number, even their official website inflated the actual attendance by KR for that game.

FC fans today were a credit to their club. Having had one of the worst reputations a few years ago they've really come a long way from those days!

Listen up, you can only dream of taking fans to games like we do for home and away matches.

The fact we have being pish poor for the best part of two seasons and you on the other hand have attended finals and we still are far above you in supporting terms. We've had premiership football and another SL team in the same city.

Your crowd figures even though they are improving which I may add and respect to those that do go, but as a whole your club deserves far better.

Th epoint you seem to miss is that we had been Pish poor for the best part of 3 DECADES. The Giants have only had 4 good years recently. We are still trying to get back the fans we have lost since the 1970s.

You support is very good and thank you for filling our coffers today. I hope soon we actually win something an dthen we will build up the support that you have.

We are a town not a city who has 4 super league team within a 15 mile radius and many more national league teams in the local area!!! Football is massive in the area too and we've got plenty teams around us competing for fans!!!

What has Hull got? Its a City with 2 RL sides its own football team and a couple of poor footy teams close by!!!! You've got a larger catchment area to aim for for all 3 teams compareds to us!!!!! I couldn't give a monkeys how large our attendances are its what happens on the pitch and from what I've seen over the past few years we are getting better and better!!!!!

We have filled that stand before. I can't remember whether it was 2 or 3 seasons ago. They had to remove the covering off the seats to fit us all in. I've no idea how many we took yesterday. My post was to point out that, if the police had been advised by the coach companies that we were bringing 2500, they would have to add more to that figure for people travelling by car and another 1000 wouldn't be an unrealistic figure given that we'd had a good winning run.



Where were they because they certainly weren't visible?

How could the coach companies say to the Police that they were bringing 2500 when according to the feedback given by Hull FC there were only upto 9-10 coaches travelling so I'd knock a zero off unless these coaches were extreamly overcrowded, no wonder the Police wanted to know!!

As for the stand when ever you've been in the past theres always been plenty of seats at the front, but it is hard to see these when you enter the stand, those covered seats at the back look more appealing don't they, but just because they remove the covers doesn't imply that the stand is full just an attitude from fans trying to avoid having to actually look for an available seat. Yesterday it mayve looked full from your point of view but it was only just half full!!

As I've said in a previous post Hull fans were a credit to their club, in numbers and behaviour.
