Brough not playing today so it's pretty safe to say he'll be joining you this week. Ive heard kirmond on loan this season, korki back on loan next season (you paying part of their wages while they're with us) plus some cash, (not saying it's gospel as not privvy to inside info but it sounds feasible enough). I'm sure the amount (if any) will be undisclosed thus leading to more arguments on here from people on both sides claiming to be in the know. At then end of the day the deal will be mutually beneficial to both clubs otherwise it simply wouldn't happen.

Korkidas is OOC at the end of this season so I seriously doubt he will sign another deal with us to go on loan to you.

Everything had been agreed and hands shaken for Brough to come to us in exchange for Cash and a player. The player you was getting was told to attend training on Monday morning for Wakey. Within half an hour of the hand shakes, the Giants player was told by phone call not to bother cos Wakey had changed their minds. For every day Wakey mess the Giants about it's costing them(Wakey) a grand a day.

Oh and Wakey told Brough he's not playing today and not to attend the game.

As I said on another thread there will be people saying they know the INS and outs of the deal and goings on. A wakey fan told me brough rang in sick Friday now a Hudds fan tells me wakey told brough he wasn't playing. I rest my case. I'll let it all come out in the wash (well most of it) rather than have a cok measuring contest with regards to who has the most inside info (all of which is probably wrong) only ken Davy and ted Richardson will know the full finer details of the deal. I'm happy that both men will agree a deal that is beneficial to all parties

Danny Kirmond himself said hes off to Wakefield on loan for the rest of the season as part of the Brough deal. he said that after the game on Saturday.

As of dinner time today there was no deal agreed due to Wakey messing about. It will probably go through but it's costing us a grand a day less for Brough for the time Wakey are dithering about.

i do not understand the grand a day bit is he on £365,000 a year, have we put a deadline on it and every day they delay we knock a grand off what would have been given

That's how I understood it. The longer it goes on the less time he'll have with us until the end of the season when he would become a free agent anyway.

Would i be correct the delay may be due to and alternative bid that has arrived at belle vue (hearwell) from an other side

After reading this and other threads on this subject for a week now it is somewhat baffling as to why there is still no concrete news on this deal. It would now seem that the Dragons have thrown their hat into the ring and want Brough.

Do we really want him or indeed need him? I would say not neccesarily given the current results - we are more than holding our own in the comp and whilst there is no doubt that Brough is a talent who would improve the team would the negatives outweigh the positives on this one?.

The bottom line to me (from reading all the conjecture) is that Wakefield want the best price for the player and deal for the club which is fair enough however it seems there is no time limit on when the deal will actually be concluded which just seems ridiculous. There just seems to be an impase since this was announced or surfaced last Sunday.

It is actually getting boring now and if I was managing this from Fartowns point of view I would certainly put some time frames on this as it seems the Wakefield club are holding us to ransom??.

Why would Brough want to join Catalan anyway they are hardly uprooting any tree's right now but I dont know his current motivation ie money or whatever?..

Wakefield want the best return on their asset. They'll be keen to push a deal through too as Brough didn't play last week which suggests to the outsider that they want to keep him uninjured as he is definitely off.

If I were Giants I would walk away now as we will not be held to ransom. Even if Catalans put a bid in for him ateotd Danny has to agree terms with them. If he is not happy or does not think it's for him he will be free agent end of this season. Then any SL team get him for nothing leaving wakefield egg on their face.

I trust NB 200% percent and there is no doubting his talent as a player however I suspect Wakefield are wanting an auction. To save credibility would you say ok - sign by x date or the deals off?.

Again, how?? hudds approached us! We have planned the season with Brough as our starting 7! Many many players play full seasons (and play well) knowing they are leaving at the end of the year.

Maybe the Giants did initially contact Wakey for Brough's services. But when the Wakey board keep agreeing to a deal and then giving backword, I could understand us saying stuff it. We don't need to deal with amateurs.
