All I can say is that at least two people extremely closely connected to Wakey have confirmed it on the Wakey forum. Those two posters make it a done deal for me.

They don't and the fact that they've offered him the highest contract ever offered to a player at Wakey proves it, but if he is going to go at the end of the season on a free anyway then it makes sense to let him go early and take some money off someone for him, that's not being financially inept it's cashing in and taking advantage of what looks like a lost cause in trying to keep him


I wouldn't call signing a player on a free and selling him on at a big profit inept, I'd call it being financially astute, something your club don't need to do what with having a moneybags sugar daddy who is prepared to underwrite debts built up by incompetent management.
