Lunt's signing may show that Leeds want a sub who is more than just a hooker when Burrow starts. Burrow probably plays 60 minutes, so the reserve hooker often plays minimal minutes. Leeds may well be looking to use Lunt's ability to play elsewhere if required.

Or it could be that Burrow's injury is worse than has been disclosed and Leeds are a bit reluctant to rely on two relatively untried players for too long.

Or it could be that Leeds simply don't rate McShane.

Only time will tell.

Perhaps he has gone as a covert spy and will lure Leeds into thinking he is playing for them , but then at crucial times in crucial matches throw poor passes , give away pens etc... And then be welcomed back to hudds next year as a returning hero.

Showed tonight just what we've let go so we can bring in someone who is a total liability. I really don't understand Brown on this one and haven't all year. I think he's just as good a hooker as Robbo (but in a different way) and should defo be preferred to Faiumu in that position.

Even if Moore turns out to be a success I really don't see the upside being so great as to mitigate the risk of signing a proven disruptive influence.

Maybe lunt went before more moore was signed shock horror!

Commuting from his brothers' place in Australia wil be knackering week in wek out and cost a fortune in air fares.

Robbo is in a different class. And he can play at a high intensity for 55-60 mins. Would not cut his minutes to keep lunt happy - nor will leeds cut burrow's time once he is fit.

If Lunt out (with robbo, lee and fooey still at the Giants) and Moore in, as our 3rd string hooker, means we retain fairbank for years to come it is a no brainer.

Agreed nice to sign bobby up off the back of the deal but would only be satisfied losing Lunt if it means we retain the real superstar, Mr Eden. Until that announcement is made I will not be overly pleased with recent events.

Agree totally with the first part of that. We have so far lost two games this season. I don't think it's a coincidence that robbo was missing for the kr game and only played 30 minutes against wire. He brings a spark to our side and although I like Lunt I can understand why NB plays lee as he has a decent kicking game which takes some of the defence away from focussing too much on brough he also gives us options to play elsewhere- Hopefully Lunt will go well at Leeds and baloo will ensure Lunt will return in place of lee next season.

I doubt we'll see Lunt in a Giants shirt again.

If Lunt goes well at Leeds baloo will keep him-unless he goes to oz.
Mcdummy likes hood-but he's not quite the finished article, sending him on loan to dewsbury will give him the game time and experience he needs, and he won't want to hang around waiting for his chance for two/three more years. Mcshane does not seem to have developed as much as leeds expected - I think burrow and hood will be Leeds' hookers next year with mcshane as reserve.
