we have a great record versus catalans at home... but dont forget the 2009 play off defeat to them!! we were finished after the challenge cup final though i remember.

crowd is going to be a shocker, maybe 3k.. they have closed the lower tier behind the posts.

catalans are in a rich vein of form right now so its not going to be easy, will the fans give them a nice cosy welcome or are we going to turn the volume up and get behind the lads from the get go, hope its the latter!

yet wigan, 8k, leeds 7k posted almost half of their regular home support.. i would guess at 2000 widnes fans at wire,so that leaves just over 5k wire fans,...now guess which club will get slated for it's poor crowd

The club do a "click and collect" service where you can buy in advance at the reduced price and collect from the ticket office on game day.
Can save yourself a few quid that way.

I think we'll win this Friday in an ideal game after last Thursday match in a blood and thunder game against a good side. After the debacle of Thursday night this is the ideal team to be playing against. A tough no nonsense team who are a solid super league outfit with class all over the park. I expect us to win this and it'll get us ready for the final semi final against either Saints or Wigan.

Personally I believe we can beat either team. The Wigan game last Thursday was a blip and if we end up playing them then we'd have a massive point to prove against a quality outfit. We've proven in the past we have nothing to fear going to the DW and with hopefully Brough back we can take the game to them and come back victorious.

If Saints pick us if we reach this stage then that's brilliant as that would be the team I'd want to face from the off given how the league table finished and we'd go there quite confident with coming home with a victory. It would be nice to put one over Brown and his boys again in the charge for Old Trafford.

The season is by no means over and I wouldn't be surprised to see the claret and gold running out at Old Trafford in 3 weeks time then who knows what will happen. Put it this way we've got nothing to fear in the play offs.

I'm wondering whether with such a sp crowd it may be worthwhile just opening the 2 middle blocks of the BR and have everyone condensed and that way it may improve atmosphere ?

tried to use the click and collect service online as it says there is no booking fee but when i go to pay there is a booking fee of £2.50??! am i doing something wrong or is it just the club messing things up

Daz, the cameras are in BR stand, would show a completely empty stadium, better the riverside lower teir with the end sections blocked off, the Catalan fans could go in the dugout, its another embarassment.

i was gonna suggest that myself daz, maybe get everyone sat together and try and create a good atmosphere.
i would also suggest getting some of the singers from the riverside over to the kilner bank and try and make it a better atmosphere.
however saying that, the last few catalan games have been pretty good atmosphere wise,despite usually attracting low crowds, and with whats at stake i can see it being OK, but one big plea...please do not applaud the dragons onto the field, they are our enemies for the night and we should treat them as such, make them feel uncomfortable the moment they leave the dressing room! i know it's sportsmanship etc but on friday night it's win or bust, we must use everything in our favour!

the catalan fan will be sat in his usual place amongst the fartown fans

The club phoned our house tonight (well my other half) to ask if we wanted any tickets. Its usually me that goes down to get our away ones, but they specifically asked for other half. trying to target those who perhaps don't always get tickets-saves a job, a phone call / journey and can pick them up when convenient.
Good move giants- every little helps!!!

and they are in the student union seeing as its freshers week offering tickets for £10

so they are working hard for this game, well done.

Danny Brough will be playing friday night, he would have been playing against wigan if it was a elimination game... warned before that game we went into it with the wrong mindset

this is why i think we will see a big response this time.

The game might as well be played behind closed doors.
