Hey numbnuts ! You're on a Giants Supporters site! What the hell do you expect? That we all should kneel down at the altar of Stains and Wigoon, repeating mantra-like 'We are not worthy, We are not worthy'
Thanks to the salary cap, teams like ours are now able to enjoy the fruits of good off-field management and committed and inspiring coaching.
The days of people like Lindsay and the like, are gone. No more throwing a load of cash at a problem, as Nobby did to get Fielden. It's just a shame that he managed to save them from relegation, but believe me if that had been a possibility Red Hall would have done everything in their power to avert that happening.
Wake up pal this is the age of the Giants, deal with it.

Quote Joel Tomkins has been told to clean up his act in the Four Nations tournament.
The fiery Wigan Warriors back rower conceded the most penalties in Super League this season – 33 in total – and now Maurice Bamford, the former Great Britain coach, has told him to cool it.
Bamford is a fan of Tomkinsbut says it’s imperative he maintains his on-field composure and listens to coach Steve McNamara.
“This lad Tomkins has a tendency to give penalties away like I sup tea,” Bamford said.
“He does give silly penalties away and it must stop. You just can’t do it at this level.'"

here's a snippet
for my pick i'd go with Ellis and Burgess in the 2nd row, O'Loughlin at loose forward and starting props of Morley and Griff with Crabtree on the bench with Robbo
the team should be
1. Sam Tomkins
2. Darrell Goulding
3. Micheal Shenton
4. Ryan Atkins
5. Tom Briscoe
6. Gareth Widdop
7. Kevin Brown
8. Sam Burgess
9. James Roby
10. James Graham
11. Ben Westwood
12. Gareth Ellis
13. Sean O'Loughlin
14. Joel Tomkins
15. Stuart Fielden
16. Adrian Morley
17. Luke Robinson
impact from the beginning, alot of impact off the bench and a good balanced side!

| Just as a matter of interest, and this is aimed mostly at any Wigan fans but i would like any body's opinion. At the time of his ban i thought Hock was probably the best SR forward in super league, When he comes back how is this going to effect J Tomkins, Both give their share of Penalties away, but although i think Tomkins is a decent forward, i dont rate him in the same league as Hock was, He was a real line buster, whereas Tomkins seems more of a support player , I think he would make a decent centre myself, And is Mossop likely to become available at all.

Think that was his point. No one did when they had Griffin starting! Morley and Graham all day long for me with Fielden and Griffin off the bench or would you say Crabtree would be in before Griffin?
As for the Tomkins debate. Someone suggested that Mossop would be a better option that I very much doubt. I would have Ellis and Burgess in my 2nd row all day long with Tomkins off the bench. But then again trying to 2nd guess a coach who thought Manu was an option at one point is abit of a waste of time!

Think both Hock and Mossop are being looked at as potential prop options. Tomkins as played in the centres and is to quiet. He needs to be invovled and working

| Actually yeah, Burgess and Ellis in the second row is a no brainer.
Morley and Griff to start
Crabtree and Graham off the bench
Fielden to carry water.

I think it's pretty obvious that there are only 3 props there and therefore room for a fourth.
I also think that Fielden WILL NOT play this Saturday. He doesn't link up with the team until tomorrow after leaving yesterday.

| Indeed Wadski...I have now stated my 4 favoured props, with suitable pro Huddersfield bias, since, you know, it is the Giants Forum we are on...
FWIW I would put O'Loughlin at 13 if that cheers up the crust munchers.
EDIT
My choices in the forwards would be:
Morley 8
Roby 9
Griffin 10
Burgess 11
Ellis 12
O'Loughlin 13
Crabtree 14
Graham 15
Robinson 16
Utility Back (Cudjoe?) 17

He can but he would lose effectiveness as they would spot it and target him on defence.

| Really? I thought he would still be his awesome best no matter how many minutes he played?
in fact, I was thinking we didnt need 3 other props and could just let him do all the work...
You know, rather than having a balanced set of forwards that can rotate with each other.

His awesomeness is inversely related to the amount of guff he spouts at the ref.

You're probably right. Stick him in the Centre and he can score another try like he did to win the game at your spot.

Don't derail the thread. Joel Tomkins is not God. That's Sam. Joel is like John the Baptist but he gives away more penalties than Lucifer.
