well see now that's the interesting thing, with the new system the games that matter are 'every single one' we like yourselves will be aiming for the top group of 8 with a top four finish in that to get to the grand final play off series. With the last few seasons we are competing and winning quite a few games against the 'top clubs' i cant see past us finishing in the top four.
We shall see when the top 8 starting playing against each other week in week out what happens. Personally looking forward to the challenge for our club. Playing against the the other top 7 clubs will be a challenge for all with no break with an easier team to rest players ect

It depends. This all originated from my comments at the start of the season saying the game v hudds wash't a big game and in the grand scheme of things didn't really matter. I stand by that.

Don't forget how this all started. I made a single comment which some people took offence too. Wasn't a particularly damming or insulting comment, just outlined the opening game between Wigan and Hudds wasn't a big game and wasn't worth any more than the two points on offer, which in itself doesn't mean much in a playoff system where the champions have previously been crowned from 5.

My comment wasn't made to offend, simply a genuine opinion on the game which I supported with further comments. Do you really think in the grand scheme of things it was an important win for Hudds considering what happened at the back end of the season? Do you honestly think it was as important as a game over the next game (WCC)? Seriously?

Last Son of Wigan seems to be the Wigan's forum's answer to Leeds' FlexWheeler i.e speaks nothing but gobe.

It was a very important match for both clubs. Had the result been reversed then Huddersfield would have finished 5th and Wigan would have won the LLS. Had Wigan won their first round match, which given they are so brilliant at games that "matter", they would have done. They would have had club call and picked a weaker opponent for the semi final. That would have given them an easier passage into the Grand Final. They may not have been as fatigued then and so may not have choked when they got there.

However if you remember, we lost and still got to the GF. The number of points we gained from the season was enough to get us to the final; this is fact.

Clearly Wigan didn't choke. One of our players lost his head and was sent from the field leaving it a 12 v 13 contest for 77 mins.

If you wanna see a team choke; try Hudds v Cats.
