Not the forwards letting us down Brearley? Get real. They certainly let Broughy down, each and every one of them should have been in and knocked seven bells out of the Salford lot.I take you back to Nathan Browns first season our pack could compete with any in the league and did,our present lot are a set of pussies that cannot compete with the weakest packs in SL,when our captain was flattened our big men didn't even fart in Salfords direction.
We have two men on our coaching staff that have played RL at the highest level both international prop forwards, in my opinion these two should be instructed to turn our soft pack of pussies into a set of alley cats.If a side is going to be successful in RL it needs a good aggressive and talented set of forwards,our forwards may be talented but they lack
the required aggression.I am not advocating a set of players that are forever striking out at everything that happens but as a team first and foremost you look after your team mates.

so our forwards are lacking aggression, but they have been improving as in laying the platform for the backs in the wins we have been picking up, the backs have been dropping the ball and making mistakes, yesterday is was bad day all round

the only enforcers we have are kaufusi, wardle, brough, taai and ferres. they are tough nuts when they want to be

Pardon my french but we need two real nasty Bar steward props to come in and compliment Taai and Ferres and bang some heads together. we like a bunch of fairy's at the moment. what happened to 1 in all in? when Brough got flattened there should have been a sprint to get to the dirty sod. Then every tackle should have been a Joe Wardle bone cruncher after that!!! SOFT SOFT SOFT. Who we playing next week? oh its a week off against Huddersfield!!!

bang on that pal....they stood around watching Danny getting treated and not one of our guys even passed a comment to Tasi... we are way too soft as a group...is that because they all fell in love with themselves last year ? our forwards have about as much grunt as a mute pig these days !!

Spot on Crackers, in the Fartown days what we lacked in skill we more than made up for in aggression, heart and pride in that shirt. Tasi wouldnt have got off that pitch if he'd of done something like that with Gary Senior and Frank Simpson on the field!!!! I have never seen such a half hearted cant be d display from a team wearing the C&G, when they all watched and did nothing after the Broughy hit summed it up for me how we have been all season.

"Hearts as big as peas" springs to mind, pathetic display, no great amount of pride or passion displayed out on the field, and as you say not one player lifted a finger or seemed too bothered when Broughy got flattened, the only bit of passion on show was from some bloke in the stand. Not too surprised we got a well deserved drubbing, it's been coming for a while now, I'm just surprised it's taken so long for teams to spot our glaring weaknesses. Can see Cas giving us a good battering on Friday too unless of course we have a plan "B" and don't wave the white flag untill we only have 1 man standing.

never mind gary senior and frank simpson, keith mason,darrell griffin, luke o'donnell,paul reilly,paul march et al from recent tie=mes would have made sure tasi got a fat lip as well as a red card!

After all the comments, it would be good for the Club to announce any new signings, contract extensions etc that will be coming up for next season. Could do with some good news!

The players we have now maybe more skilfull then there predecessors. However i do miss seeing the agression that used to be shown by our former players. On top of your list i can think of the following who would never have backed down from over physical play from the opposition and were never far a way from any trouble on the pitch.
Joe Naidole, Andy Dickinson,Alan Boothroyd, Gary Coulter, Rob Roberts, Darren Fleary, Jim Gannon, and Ben Roarty. The Giants have certainly had some tough characters over the years.
Just a couple of these such players in your side can make a big difference as the opposition will not take any liberties.

yep, even the more "genteel" players used to get stuck in, the likes of shuttleworth,hanger,greg austin,greg pearce, nothing wrong with a bit of biff if its in the right way, our lot don't seem to have and fighting spirit at all these days.

faiumu and cudjoe looked angry after the incident and were complaining to the ref too, these were the only two mind

Thorman is always rollicking them - makes me laugh! like the good old days when he was still playing half back- still does the same pointing and stabbing his finger towards the ground!

I am a big fan of the biff.

However those days have gone. If say Wardle, Ukama or cudjoe come in and give Tasi a crack, they are looking at a minimum yellow card on the day followed up with decent ban.
We are then even more on our come Friday.

Then theres folk on here slagging off the player "for not being smart enough" and "not thinking of the team"

I do however agree that we should be being more aggressive in the tackle and trying to hurt them the right way.

The Salford players were up for the niggling from the off. Harris said as much in his post match interview - it was a deliberate ploy.

And what happened? Fartown rolled over and let them do it. They got bullied all over the park.

It should have been sorted out by the players long before the referee had to do anything. Ironically, if it had have been then Tasi would never have needed to be sent off because it wouldn't have got out of hand.

There's being smart and keeping the penalty count down. But there's also getting your handed to you on a plate. You know Tasi has been on Twitter taunting Fartown and Paul Anderson for being soft? I don't think the thought of facing the Giants is putting much doubt into the opposition players at the moment.


I remember Nathan Brown once saying that, if the referees didn't protect his half backs, he'd send out his props to do it instead. Can you imagine our lot trying that right now? They'd end up flat on their s with sand kicked in their faces!

and with our crowds wanting to be ever so sporting and applaud the opposition too we may as well have our coaching staff handing out bouquets as the opposition players enter the nice grass we have got ready for them to run about on.....

I've just watched the highlights and seen the hit. There's a team really sticking up for their captain and playmaker alright.... Tasi smoked him like a cheap cigar and walked through a crowd of Fartown players when he'd finished!!! Is there an issue with unity amongst the players?

Steve's right too - Tasi is lapping it up on twitter. But then why wouldn't he? What's he got to be afraid of?

People appear to be shocked or surprised to learn our pack is soft as .

Have been all season, well since we lost Mason, LOD and Fielden.

What has the coach done about it? Why hasn't he brought anybody in?

Ive never seen any of our pack throw a punch in anger. Id say the only one who probably could would be Chan!

As stated we don't have an enforcer. The harsh reality is that our pack is a joke.

But on the bright side we have nobody banned for Friday! Ha.

No one on our side applauded the opposition apart from those in the posh seats- from Salford!
No one from either side did any clapping for our team......

yup the giants crowd applaud the opposition, seems the players are taking sympathy with them too now when they visit the giants

Perhaps you should come and sit on the side where there's no polite clapping of the opposition seeing as it winds you up so much
