we arent actually moaning about the rules.. we were commenting on the crowds that this system has created.all crowds have been poor and changes might need to be made to create more excitement next season so the fans turn out in numbers

in general Saints away suppiort has been fantastic this season, even to places like Celtic, Gateshead, Quins and Catalans (and I haven't missed any away games or home games this season or last season, including CC). Hull away sticks out in my mind as one of the best atmospheres I've been to for a while away with Saints also.

I would agree with that. The idea of a PlayOff series in general is a good one, but a PlayOff series which includes a team that has finished not even halfway up the league ladder is ridiculous and reduces the quality of the matches. If we had a league that was a competetive as the NRL then it wouldn't be a problem, but we sadly have a long way to go till we achieve that.

From what I have seen in the southstand the worst turnout this season (for a big team) has been Saints the other week. HKR ran you VERY close .

That's why I said 'in general'. The turnout Leeds was poor I admit it, but in general our away turnouts have been very good. That was one game. It'd be very naiive to judge one team's away support for the season on one game.

One game that was the biggest match of the back end of the season . I was dissapointed at the Saints attendance . Almost as dissapointed as the 595,000 HKR fans that got turned away at the gate

That game we were coming off the back of some utterly e performances and a lot of us went there expecting a tonking. Some thought that £20 to watch a Saints slump to a 40pt defeat could be better spent elsewhere, and voted with their feet. As I said, to judge a team's away support for the entire season on one game is extremely naiive.

You saying that they didn't attend because they were expecting a lesson ? .. Good job Salford and Celtic fans ain't that fickle . Attendances have suffered everywhere this season . A lot of it is to do with the new teams . Only a tiny bit is to do with the teams that were here last season .

It is extremely naiive, one poor away attendance does not make a season of poor attendances. If you had attended a fair proportion of Saints away games then your opinion might hold a little more credence. Until then, you are merely talking out of your backside.

Tonights attendance was more than expected tbh!!
Friday nights have never been a favoured night for our town. And tonight given that everyone had to pay including over 2's, whereas during the season these don't actually pay due to our free tickets for under 12's during the regular season, meant many didn't venture to the game!! We knew this before the game was even confirmed that we would struggle due to it being a friday and on Sky as we even reduced regular prices but still it didn't make any affect. Please don't tell us what we already know!! I really don't know what is up with our town!! But then again I never saw any advertising for this fixture till yesterday in our local rag coupled with a advert for tomorrows Town Fixture with Stockport! Says it alll!

Also up for renewal for many people this month...season tickets, school uniforms, holidays to pay for, etc.

Just a payout too far for many perhaps

And that includes me, much as I wanted to go, the coffers were bare, simple as that.

How can you say that?? Where was the mass of claret and gold who went to wembley. There again, they'd all left before the end on that game too.

Also, it may not be a sellout but there will be a crowd of at least 8000 there tonight, a steady crowd of 8000 that we've had all year.

And if you was going to turn up for any game wouldn't the last home game of the season be one to turn up at and show the fans appreciation?

We was only making an observation, and it wasn't only us "dobbins" it was your own fans as well as every other clubs fans.

I am not sure why HKR fans seem to get some perverse pleasure out of going on everyone else s board to have a go at everyone else. Their obvious lack of self esteem and insecurities should be dealt with via counselling rather than publically aired on RL forums.

Most of the HKR fas i have met at the games have been ok.

Maybe it is just the ones on RL fans forums who are complete Canutes.
