| Darnell did make a few errors the other night but luckily they didn't cost us, but could have done.
I only want to see a Murphy and Darnell centre/wing partnership at last resort.
Ridyard still a shout for Sunday

| Quote ="brearley84"rankin in then!
good timing as it looks like we could be missing mamo, rankin can slot in at full back. or whereever in the back line if gaskell continues at full back.
only till the end of this season which is a strange one, but maybe he is going to hull next season which seems to be the rumour.
at least he can help us out short term!! hull fans seem to be big fans'"
Full back is his best position

| I know Rankin's experience and undoubted talent will make him an automatic starter but apart from that dropped ball resulting in a goal line dropout from Mcintosh, he hardly put a foot wrong against a near full strength Wigan side. Will be a shame if he misses out as I can see big improvements from him game on game.
On the flip side it's great to have a squad use for once.

| I recall Mcintosh making 3 errors.
1 a knock on which he ended up kicking out.
I believe he also knocked on returning the ball (could of been a ball steal though)
And he took way too long returning the ball on an occasion in the first half where he was trapped in goal.
Apart from this it was a very solid performance against a full strength Wigan side.

| mcintosh was poor at wakefield and had a nightmare against leeds earlier in the season.. to be expected i suppose still inexperienced but some glaring mistakes so far. shown some good things too though.
squad player when others are fit

i agree but would rather keep him fit and not injured on the sideline for the sacrifice of a little bit of extra quality when he does play for us.
next season or later this season yes maybe but with all our injury problems now is not a good time.

| steady at full back today on his debut, obviously will improve, can see him being a half back for us rather than a full back though

| As long as he doesn't drop any balls the fullback has a good game as far as most on here are concerned.
Fullback is arguably the most technical position in the game. There's a damn sight more to it than catching a ball.

You are still stuck in Grix land Jool's and it's time you threw the bitter and twisted away cos no full back will ever compare ....

| Well most around me thought he had a good game and didn't put a foot wrong, not a bad start for a lad thrown in a new team, but i guess as we lost we need to pick on someone !!!!!

Glad to hear, but cannot wait to see Mamo resume at FB and see Rankin in the halves or wing, that could be interesting.
With our injury situation continuing I wonder if we will ever see Mamo at FB, Jerry and Rankin on the wings, Leroy and Jordan Turner in the centres and Broughy and Ridyard in the halves?

Thought you might be championing Ridyard for the halves Brearley, he is a great Goalkicker.

| yeh wouldnt mind, but guessing game as to whether he or ranking will be here next season.
yet to see rankin at half back and with mamo gone for the year then i think he will continue at full back so ridyard will keep that half back spot... if hes available to play too!!!

| I like Rankin, but for me with a full team available, he's behind Mamo at fullback.
Behind Leroy, Turner and Gaskell in the centres,
Behind Jerry and Murphy in the wings, and behind Brough, Gaskell and Ridyard in the halves.
Purely because of the part of the season we are in and how our combinations have progressed.
I put him only ahead of McIntosh and Wood because of experience.
