i don't think we are that far away. It is silly mistakes that are costing the game. i just had a look at the match stats yesterday.

i think wood has been going well at hooker, he offers alot more in attack than leeming who is a solid defender but doesnt offer as much in attack, wood is pacy and causes defence problems

crabtree and murphy i agree havent been great this season along with a number of others.

yes i agree, we need to get a new conditioning team in place, the current ones have been a failure

and yes small squad which is now only being sorted with symonds, ikahiifio and brierley... hopefully not too late but it some ways it already is with where we are now

it certainly was the errors which cost us, go back through the game, ive listed a few earlier on this topic

we werent far off and plenty of effort, cany expect stone to work a miracle after just two training sessions but i expect us to improve on the errors front going forward, if we do i think we will hammer some teams

just to set the record straight the squad had not done any on field conditioning since feb, that wasn't the conditioners choice that was anderson

Expectation rubbish?
Doesn't matter how bad you say this Saints side are.. They are 5th and we a bottom.
Nothing this season has suggested we had any chance of winning Saints or had the ability to play well! It's not a surprise we lost comfortably.
It wouldn't of been a surprise if we had put 50 past them.
Fact it we have no consistency in our results or form. The Giants have shown signs against Saints and Hull this season to get our hopes up that things are on the up and then backed it up with rubbish.

Just like everyone else I'll keep hoping and supporting and get the nerves before the game but I won't expect anything this season from us.

We've got to get through these middle 8's successfully,relegation just doesn't bare thinking about and then all our star players going out of contract.

I agree with you we are bottom for a reason.Reckon Stone cold Rick will just have us grinding out sets from now on,wouldn't expect much entertainment value in these M8's,but it's got to be done.

I agree with much of what you say - but how DOES stone stop players kicking out on the full, throwing the ball forwards or dropping it? Unless he has a magic spell he's as unable to prevent errors any more than PA was!
The players are making the errors it's down to them to do better.

To answer Jool's post Stone can't stop any player making mistakes what I meant by the small things were get the defence right and work on the attacking moves and try to bed the back line together a few tweaks and a grind it out game plan should be enough

remember we had injuries pre season too

Interesting post, It goes to prove one thing, you can win every competition on the field and still lose the game.

Very interesting. Especially since it's unusual for us to have more offloads and more metres than the opposition.
