Very encouraging, and the other one old teapot was given his SL chance by Wakefield fwiw, I won't bother naming the rest of the players who we have given their SL chances as I do not want you to accuse me of saying I am getting into some sort of contest with you. I did ask you though if indeed you would be better off comparing your team with the best in SL to see where you were in terms of progress instead of comparing them with a side that has recruited poorly for this season, alas you have chosen not to, perhaps you feel that they aren't as good as the top clubs just yet and you want to wait a bit longer to be invited to the top table, maybe someday eh

just a thought really.
As for todays game Kear needs as much playing time as posible to try and blend these young and relatively inexperienced players together for the start of SL and Brown will know that he can play his youngsters an give them good game time and experience against SL opposition which he will not get against Saints as they will be giving some of their youngsters a run out.

This is exactly what I have been saying, Wakey have to put a decent crop of first teamers in because we are playing against a side that are better than us,(and that unfortunately is a genuine remark and said with gritted teeth because its true) and this is why you are saving all your best players for those two games in an attempt to try and avoid humiliating defeats as well as possibly learning things from them.

I hope Trinity survive, and what's more, prosper, no matter how much some of their fans attempt to deride Fartown. IMO, it's bad for the game for a "traditional" club to go to the wall. It only gives ammunition to those who like to put our game down.

Since comeing into SL Wakey have done nothing but head to being wound up by HMRC really, lets face it.

For me their final nail in the coffin was when they simply outright refused to even take part in the ground share feasibility study. They tried to call everyones elses bluff without realising everyone else could see that the cards they were holding were worthless.

I dont want Trin to go under, for one its a terrible thing to happen to a club and for another its desperately embarrasing for RL for this to happen.

Far better that they "do a fax", plummet down the league and exit at the end of the season without a franchise to begin the long, hard rebuilding process.
