Ok, so you have no real arguement (other than apathy). That's you perogative.

hello. Finishing work at 5:30pm means you can't get the coaches which leave at 5pm. Duh.
It may be frugal to drive but factor in fuel, parking, driving lessons, car, insurance, road tax, furry dice it starts to become expensive and a bit time restrictive for Friday.

| Finish work at 5.30pm even and then you have to get home, get washed and changed and get fed. Sometimes it can take me ~1 hour to get home.
This is all by the by though. I don't frankly give two monkeys foreheads whether or not the population of Hull all finish half day Fridays to go to the chuffing Moon to watch them play the Martians XVII at a neutral venue for the first ever Champions of the Universe match.

| That must be where we've all been going wrong!
Quick, spread the word. Less washing, more attending!
I shall inform the lads working the night shift at my plant that in reality they're not actually working because they're not part of the emergency services or catering industries and that they can all go home! I shall also phone all our customers and tell them that they should also close their plants and factories immediately and to take all their soap back to where they purchased it for a refund towards their coach fares to Hull!

| Oh ffs, if fans don't want to go then thats up to them. It's nobodys business to tell them what to do or call them less of a fan for not attending. For someone who leaves work at 5 on a Friday and has to get across town during rush hour it is a bit of a rush and I can see why people will think, "lets watch Wigan and Rovers on Sky instead." I hope Huddersfield bring a decent following, but if they don't who cares? We should be a big enough club to be able to find 15,000 of our own fans to go without relying on travelling support. As for the atmosphere, again, we can do that by ourselves, chants of, who are ya? towards to opposing teams fans doesn't consitute a good atmosphere.

| Exactly, and the real point is that clubs should be worried about the one thing they have to rely on week to week, their own home support.
No arguing Hulls home support is superb, ours is rising and I hope it matches that of Hulls very soon.
Away support is fickle, away support on a Friday is even more fickle. Those that go, top marks to them, I bet its more than last year either way.

Wow! So in Hull there are no health workers working after 5.30pm. And no businesses have continental shifts with people doing 2pm-10pm or 10pm - 6am. All the buses and taxis stop at 5.30pm As do hotels / pubs / clubs. No wonder you get 15K at the KC, everything else is shut!!!
Likewise it would appear all your support live and work in a small area. Very parochial. Many Hudds fans live in east Lancs. Many work in places like Manchester (look it up on a map). leaving Manchester at 5.30 will not get you to Hull in 1hr and 20 mins.
i am looking forward to watching the rugby. I hope you enjoy counting the supporters.

FFS, try reading the post before spewing drivel.
At what point did I say EVERYBODY finishes work at 5.30??
At what point are Hotels, Pubs, Clubs, not in the catering industry?
I am well aware of Manchesters location, afterall I manage to drive past it when en route to places like St Helens, Wigan and Warrington. In fact I'll go that way when driving over to Wigan on FRIDAY 12 March.
As for Danrils narrow minded comment. It appears you have the intellect of the character in your avatar. You demonstrate the reason as to why RL will always be classed as a second rate sport by the media. The fact that, despite being located in a central position some fans simply cannot be bothered. This is why football fans in general will pour scorn at RL fans loyalty and passion to our sport. Could you imagine Liverpool not selling out their allocation for the Emerates tonight (Thats in London, LOOK IT UP O A MAP ). Then there are =#FF0000EDIT Mick like you lot who can't be bothered to travel.
RL, the greatest game, followed in general by great fans. Apart from the apathetic ones.

[Just because some organisations provide food it does not define their sector as catering. Hospitals have canteens and provide food for patients but it does not mean the NHs is defined as the catering industry

[Apathy is not so bad. The moronic need to criticise other fans for not traveling to away games is unfortunate. As Hull have 13K home fans and around 2/3K travel to away games can you point us to the thread on the Hull board where you find fault with so many of your own supporters for not travelling?

Crikey you talk some guff. Still, as I stated at the outset, you guys have to perpetuate the 'My Dad's bigger than your Dad' routine, don't you.
Please, tell me more about the intellect of my avatar. <s>
ATEOTD this is the same as happens every year. The odd pillock casting egregious aspersions, parping on about how he and the millions of his bretheren go x, y and z places. So transparent. Every year the same. You might as well chuck in a few laying on jibes whilst you're at it. Throw in a grapple tackle as well, go for the full house.

| If we take as many or more than we usually take to Hull FC then what is the problem? Last season our away numbers showed a nice increase and I hope the trend continues but anyone who expects them to suddenly be on a par with Hull FC's usual numbers needs to lay off the glue. And ATEOTD I'd rather there were 500 of our fans there to watch us win than 5,000 see us get pumped.

| Quote ="Danril"ATEOTD there is also the debate about what constitues decent numbers at an away game. Hull take very decent numbers for sure but consistently over estimate the numbers they bring, much as they under estimate everyone elses as part of the 'My Dad's biggeer than your Dad' game. It's the same every year.
There were just over 1,500 Bulls fans at the Galpharm last week which whilst not as many as they've brought before is still a decent following IMO. It's nobody elses place to judge numbers or to impose their own ability to attend and thus their own circumstances on to other people. The away support hasn't been the best for a while for a plethora of reasons but it is improving. Still, it wont stop certain people from seeing fit to sit in judgement and talk a load of garbage in the process, will it.
At least the two Hull trips are done in consecutive weeks so we can get a big dose of this kind of crap out of the way early doors.'"

| Things are improving. It takes time, but the fan base here in Hudds is growing. There are a lot of younger fans who are really passionate about the team. I'll never argue that a large following is a huge bonus to the status of a team. Both the Hull sides have tremendous support, as do Cas and Wigan always bring large numbers to the pharm. I'll be bleating like mad when our away and in some games home crowds are like Hull's, but for now I am just enjoying the quality of Rugby we are playing and the feeling that we will win some silverware before too long.

| We'd like to take more as well. Preaching to the converted on an internet message board will do absolutely zilch to affect those numbers positively however. All it does is get on the nerves of the people on the board who are generally the ones who do actually attend anyways.

Don't know but got my ticket for your spot for a tenner with a mates Town season ticket but noticed you lot charge 20 quid normally (that's not a dig I think the Bulls are 19 quid on a match day so a purple seems about par for the course). I thought Hull was about that?

Hull is £21 on gate and pre-purchase.
