Please tell me you are joking Ivor!!!
He was the worst of the 4 half backs on the pitch, which is saying something when that's our worst performance for some time. Hull can keep him.

| There were some really bad things about your performance (missing Crabtree & Griffin and losing Aspinwal and Raleigh during the match certainly didn't help) last night but I really think you've got a really great coach there who will put things right.

No he wasn't. He was not great but he was far better than Brown and Robinson.
Robinson is a truly dreadfull player. He has all the tricks but absolutely no brain. It's as if he has never been coached or never listened. He looks exactly the same player he did when he was breaking through at Wigan. He looked a potential world beater who needs to learn the ropes, sadly if he hasn't learned them by now he never will.
Thorman is over rated but he has some brain.

| hodgy`s pass to aspinwall wasn`t a risky one , it was just a bloody poor one , ther`s a big differance .it wasn`t as though he tried to squeeze one out in a 4 man tackle. are you never going to pass just because tou`re in youre own 25 ?the camera didn`t show the angle but if it had been a decent pass and we`d have made another 30 yards because we`d avoided the defence it would have been great . we don`t want to go back to one man rugby , do we . just get the bloke to practise passing for 8 hours a day next week

| You don't throw out long passes in your own 20metres. It's common knowledge and taught from a young age. It increases the risk of turning the ball over near your own line. Last night showed why it shouldn't be done.

| well well what can i say??
first game after a brilliant win at bradford the week before, huge anticipation, big eager crowd sky camera's you kinda expected it really.
we were poor, almost abysmal at times our passing was awful our decision making was bad at times, our tackling ws left wanting at times, hull however did nothing special, they just stuck to the basics and it paid off, no offence to them they fully deserved the win and it did flatter us but a better team would have put us to the sword last night and rattled a big score up, the 20-24 scoreline looks like it was a close game which it wasnt im afraid.
one thing that concerned me was our lack of size and power,a colleague who came with me commented how hull's players looked twice the size of ours which was true.
i hope this is just a blip and we get back firing next week at cas, but one concern i am having is with brett hodgson, good player but his passing from receiving the ball is looking very wayward,he did it a few times at bradford and last night fired a couple straight at aspy and d.hodgson he isnt filling me with much confidence at the moment

| the reason you`re taught not to throw out long passes in the 25 is because of the risk of an interception. i didn`t think it was a `long `pass . could have done with being longer , then it might have reached him

| I'm all for being expansive but we tried to run before we'd got used to walking last night. An early score and we seemed to think we were already half an hour in.
And the passing wasn't the greatest. Balls too high, too low, out in front. Lads running on to a ball that wasn't meant for them, passing to a man who isn't ready. Awful, terrible stuff. It was like a nightmare compared to some of the other stuff we've played.

Apart from Willie Manu and Briscoe who were stood 3 yards away. It was a panic pass that wouldn't have given you any advantage at all. Am I the only one who thought Hull's defence was poor last night. Thought we looked pretty clueless in attack too to be honest.

No, it was a fair idea, terribly executed, watch the replay there was tons of space down the flanks and if it had gone to hand we would have been watching a break out from deep, with out pace it could have gone the length, as it was, the pass was a shocker and we lost the ball, not an uncommon thing all night all told.
In fact, the one thing that can be said is, if we learn to catch, we will be brilliant.

| Too many penalties where giving away last night. Our defense was shocking at times and some passing needs sorting out. We where passing at times when we really didn't need to. However though im sure they will bounce back and get a win on Saturday.

| Quote ="Baron Greenback"You're stretching the truth a bit there. Thorman wasn't a standout performer for Hull. Robinson played half decent, and Moore looked quite dangerous at times for Huddersfield. And it wasn't Brown or Robinson throwing hospital passes and dropping ball all over the place. What's the point of going on about Thorman now when he's a Hull player and Sharp was sacked months ago? Get over it man.
Yes, we were very poor. Hull dominated and deserved to win. But looking for positives; Hull were really pleased with their defense yet it was still 4 tries apiece. To play as badly as that and only lose by 4 points is a minor miracle.'"
I haven't said that Thorman was a standout player for Hull. I did saythat he was better than Brown & Robinson.

Thorman though has something that our halves don't; a short range kicking game.

| to me brown was far better than thorman overall difference was brown was playing behind a beaten pack, were as horne who was the best player on the pitch was playing behind a dominant pack. the hull forwards were superb too big and strong for us, hardly suprising though with eorl, griff and finnigan out, plus raleigh going off we looked too lightweight in the pack, got to agree with cas fans about korki he is not up to it to me.
basic errors lost us the game but one poor performance doent make them a bad side, we still scorred 4 trys each without playing well, which i dont think hull did either just they made virtually no errors, best side won no argument about that.

Get a grip mate, you have just made Hull FC look an average side by that comment. The final score was 24-20 to Hull. So if we were bad (which we were) then you cant have been much better to only win by 4 points. I was at the game, and if we had not given away some silly penalties and dropped too much ball then we would have won the game. We gifted you everything from our silly mistakes. Had this not happened then we would have won, but it did and u did win. But if you cant beat a team playing so badly in a more convincing fashion then maybe u r not as good as u like to think. And for the record i think Hull were good and will definatly be in the top 5. Well played.

We gifted you 4 tries through a mixture of errors and ill disipline. The fact is that 10 of your points came in the first 2 and the last minute of the game. Hull dominated the other 77 without really stretching themselves. They had plenty of posession and field position and could (should) have scored another 3 or 4 tries but they didn't

| In fairness I think pretty much all the points for both sides were resultant of the other sides mistakes or indiscressions. As I've already said, fair play to Hull; they deserved the victory. How about you conceding that Huddersfield made some schoolboy errors instead of insisting it was all down to Hull?
