It's only a fortnight now you know. My memory isn't that bad.

I don't think the one you apportion to Luke george was his fault, if you get the chance to watch a replay you will see the Catalans player playing the ball (Escare I think?) moves sideways off the mark, Luke changes direction to "get square" and is then completely off balance when the dummy half goes blind. That is precisely why you are not supposed to move off the mark - very rare they get given so we should not be too bothered, but had Luke not got square he would probably have been sin binned (wrongly by the letter of the law but that is how it is normally reffed and pro players really should play to the ref). I think a sin-binning at that point would have been more of an issue than the try.

I assume this was the try Murphy is carrying the can for, really cannot see how it could be one of the others. Personally I think it was streetwise play by the Dragons, but it is not hard to see why others may feel George or Murphy were to blame.

Also the kick was a miss match, no way Danny Brough can out jump Vincent Duport, again heads up play by the Dragons isolating Danny like that. Both those tries could have been defended better collectively, but I think harsh to blame on individual errors.

The one where Grix was bowled over, I initially thought that was a poor effort, but having watched again, we were stretched by the knock on and free play, Scot Grix covered loads of ground to try and get there but didn't get set properly to take the winger into touch, but he got there, had it not been a free play the guy may not have gone for it, but he knew they were keeping the ball whatever. It was actually a huge effort from Grix just to get there, if you look where he started (by the post) he certainly doesn't deserve criticism for that.

interesting point that last one giant dee - since if grix hadnt bothered to make the effort it wouldnt be a "missed tackle"!

thats exactly how i saw it too dont think murphy was to blame for any, the one where george ran away from marker was poor!

The wingers try were he ran over Grix was a catalogue of errors. Patrick knock on attemting to pick up loose ball follwed by Mcgillivary rushing in off his wing and missing his man.

Just watched Blanch's try again. George's anticipation from marker was very poor. However he is the sole marker and you do have to question why Murphy stayed out on the wing when his opposite number (Blanch) had come in to play the ball.

Hey guys, Grixy is first choice fullback in a team sitting second in the league! As it's been said its the team that has got us there and Grix more than plays his part. I think that he's similar to Leroy in a way, very much a confidence player, his bump and spin, link play and support are all great, his organisational skills are class he's improved massively under the high ball and he has the heart of a lion. As long as he wears the claret and goldhe has my respect and I'll be backing him 100%

the problem with grix is if he makes a mistake he lose confidence n makes more simple mistakes which could cost you in a final if we was to be in one, most of the time his performance level is good but he performs with 100% effort n that's all you can ask

Grix has had a good season in a good team and hasn't looked out of place at the Giants as we challange to on both fronts to try and finish top of the league and get as far as we can in the Challange Cup.

I really don't understand why he gets so much negative comments and find it quite baffling. Every team has a scapegoat and for some strange reason Grix is ours to some. He's no Sam Tomkins but very few are, he is solid at the back and very creative in attack. Some though Lunt wasn't good enough to play for us last season but without him we seemed to struggle. Take a consistant and influential player like Grix out of the squad and see how good we continue to be.

had a good solid game today did grix, as did most of the team,without being spectacular.

Missed the tackle for Hulls first try though ,will miss him next season one of my favourite players

so did 2 or 3 others before he even go to grix mate

He missed a attempt of a last ditch tackle for the first try. Not really his fault as the real problem were the two players who let Galea run straight through them. By the time the ball got to Green the damage had already been done.

People around me were having a go at Scott for the 1st try and like i said he was the last man but 2 or even 3 players missed tackles before then and Scott didnt have much of a chance seeing as Green had picked up a head of steam by then......nothing to blame Grix for at all today, had a very good game.

Caught 3 or 4 high balls from straight out of the sun.

Kicked to the corner when we almost scored.

Helped in numerous on the line tackles which prevented Hull from scoring.

Joined the line on numerous occasions.

Didn't lose the ball in the tackle like some players did.

Didn't throw the ball into space like some favourites did.

etc, etc.

My response was aimed at the comment, not an opinion, about the one 'error' made by Grix - no mention of other players' errors, no mention of all the good points in Grix's play. Just a single negative gripe.

If people can't take criticism of what they post - including me - then, well, I won't write the rest.

As I've said before, I will stand up for any player who receives, IMHO, unfair criticism.

If people don't start calming down the ban button might come out
