Gerry's acceleration and power is phenomenal but his flat out speed isnt great - better than many wingers that lack his other atributes.

Been told this morning all 3 players are all signed up 100% for next year whether mason stays or goes.

If O Donnell stays and can get fit we are going to have a really good pack next year...the more i think about it the more i can't see Mason in the team at all

Given gale and kopczak are under contract at bradford next year would assume their signings are dependent on us losing SL status. I know SLE told our players they could talk to other clubs this week but that was dependent on The administrator accepting the SLE bid which he hasnt done yet. time will tell.

Jake your info is wrong,Gale is on board ,Mullaly is not very good not a patch on Tony Tonks and i think Mason is here for the next 3 years and has for Kopy well he aint signed i hope this clears things up for you,but i suppose if the club want to pay a players contract up for the next 3 years well who knows what might happen

RL clubs rarely pay up a player over long periods. It does not make sense.

Paying up for 2 or 3 years means a large lump sum payment in year 1. The clubs gains stuff all as the payment is still part of the cap. If you have to pay the guy then play him in the 20s for 2 years - at least he fills a shirt there. And if he b***ers about he can then be sacked.

However players may move on because other clubs put a premium on their skills. A good jobbing back on £50K a year for 2 years at one club may be valued at £70K x 3 years elsewhere. A 100k versus £210K is a no brainer.

Quality players often have these pressures and with short careers to manage and families to provide for it is challenging.

thats not correct. The contract only become void and players free agents if we're liquidated. If a newco buys existing club then the player contracts will be transfered to the new company under TUPE and will still be valid.

Assuming the bid for the club includes playing contracts too - or arent made redundant - or have been given permission to seek employment elsewhere etc

Not correct my friend, TUPE regulations protect the employee's rights, they are not set up to protect the Employer. If the solution for Bradford is a NewCo taking over they are obliged to offer contracts that match the existing, there is no obligation on the Employee to accept. Only the existing company continuing to trade allows the Employer to enforce the contracts. If a NewCo is set up any player can walk as happened recently for example at Glasgow Rangers. Some will others will not.

If true, Koppy will be a fantastic signing for you lot, the improvement he made before getting injured was unbelievable. I wrote him off a couple of seasons ago along with quite a few other fans, how wrong we were.

Gale has improved as the season has gone on but he is still not the player I had hoped for when we signed him. For me Jeffries has been a better player this season and based on the wages they will no doubt be on I would see Jeffries as better value.
