We will be tough up the middle and defensively strong if not that creative in the halves. Hope Fairbanks gets an opportunity. Think it will be a different style of rugger at john smiths next year - bring it on - season tickets - plus an extra one already purchased.

I don't think Paul Anderson will look at it that way, I think it will be more about playing players in their correct position.

now now... Ta'ai was harldy playing many games in the NRL.. 52 in 3 seasons is hardly a regular. and released by the warriors so you could say he is a reject. but looking forward to seeing what he has to offer.

as for mullally being a reject..i disagree, widnes were desperate to keep hold of him and were very angry he chose to come to hudds after they had even sent him to oz to gain more experience the season before as part of his development.. so upset they sent him off to whitehaven for the rest of the 2012 campaign after he signed for us!

Id say thats a strong squad of 20, playing with confidence they shold go well. Injuries to the backs could be a problem if it happens

I'd have Grix starting at fullback personally given he is superb there and Murphy is just solid

And Ferres needs to be more consistent to keep Taai out of the team (mind, same goes for O'Donnell)

yep - im in agreement there code.

Ta'ai is the real mystery hardly anyone seems to have seen him play but the hype is there just see if he can live up to it and as he is not even in the country I doubt if the coaches and especially his team mates know what he is like.

not put ta'ai in as not seen him yet, can stick him in after pre season but who would you drop? i think he will play in the second row. will have to be very good to get ahead of ferres/odonnell/chan/lawrence

bit short in the centres position?? but lawrence can always revert if wardle/cudjoe get injured..dont want both out at same time though!

Agree but teams tend to rotate for certain games so think all the forwards will get a fair whack till we can establish who we put out for the real big games.

Wardles injury cost us dear last season I feel and it is an issue but we have a few mix and match options and Murphy can play centre, wing or FB and perhaps like Lawrence did he will fill in as and when and make a position his own.

Didn't P.A go over to Oz on a mission to study coaching methods? Not long after it was reported that Ta'ai had signed for the Giants,so just maybe our coach is smarter than some people give him credit for,I personally think he is.

I think he is a smart coach but its a gamble however you look at it (as it is bringing in most players from down under), think we are all looking forward to seeing him play and hoping the hype is right.

yes i agree most players will get a look in and be rotated, fielden and odonnell in paticular will be rotated i feel to keep them fresh

im just trying to figure out our best starting 13..not easy!! could pick a couple of teams and still be fairly happy!

wardle very under rated, great in defence and so strong with the ball in hand

yes he went over to aus last year, will of put a few feelers out im sure...and nabbed taai who saints were after too

That's a very light bench, only one prop rotation or are you putting ferres at prop?
