What?
Our present troubles are everything to do with form. It's been awful, week on week I've been saying well we can't get any worse, we have to play better next week but, alas, we don't. We've been in terrible form of late, there's no denying that. Our only saving grace however is that form counts for very little in PlayOffs and GFs, you've just gotta be good enough on the night. We owe Hudds one for knocking us out the CC (by playing some very good rugby might I add) and I hope we use that as motivation to win this game. We need to use our wingers more as that's where Hudds quite often fall short. If we can get quick balls out there, we should be fine. However, having watched the Catalans game if we pass like we did then we'll get nowhere. I'll be hoping and praying we win, but I won't be surprised if we lose. Hoping to see a good few Giants fans coming up to watch the game, should be a good'un.

Sheesh. Go back and read the rest of what I posted. Then you wont have to ask 'what?' but instead will know the answer!
If their form was bad then no way would they have been able to play like they did against Leeds. They are fooked up thanks to Potter's penchant for changing them around every bleeding match, their team spirit has gone west and their motivation with it. Except at Leeds, when despite bumping into each other when approaching the tryline (thanks, Harry, for fooking up the team), they looked almost like their old selves.

I've read what you said and still disagree. Out of our last 10 games we have managed just 4 wins. The last time we had a run like that was a good few years back. But, no, that's good form in your eyes.

Every team can lift for the big games, it doesnn't mean that they're on a run of good form, it means that they are human! We lifted for Leeds but STILL we lacked cohesion in attack which cost us the game. Same story at HKR when we had ample chance to score but still failed to do so. When you get the chance, 80% of the time you should be able to apply decent pressure to the defensive line and SHOULD score off the back of that pressure. Unfortunately, cohesion in attack is not our strong point and hasn't been for quite some time and that may be what will cost us come Saturday.

Don't be silly. I said it wasn't to do with form, not that we had good form.
Quote We lifted for Leeds but STILL we lacked cohesion in attack which cost us the game. '"
Absolutely. But that's because we didn't know what we were doing, not because we had poor form. We bumped into each other for crying out loud! And in the RL press this week, Longy has reported that they have been playing different positions (again!) and so he (and I'm sure the whole lot of them) doesn't know whether he is 'coming or going'. They looked confused at Leeds, not off form. If Potter would just stop playing around with the team then they would perform just fine. But he's been doing it all flippin season, even before injuries hit, and it's done precious little but cause trouble.

| Whats the opinion on here on Moore and Mason getting banned for such a big game? I realise that what they did was wrong, but they both missed last week, and I feel that was punishment enough.

| They breached the codes of discipline set down by the coach. I have no complaints with it, it's being done for the greater good and it lets everyone know that if they play with feathers then they can expect to get their bums tickled at some point.

| I would rather us play without them than let them back in for this week.
The tone has to be set to all the current players and FUTURE ones that if they come to the Giants and work under Brown that certain standards of discipline and responsibility are maintained.
If you let them off now it will be a sign of weakness and let other players think they can get away with things.
That causes long term problems in clubs which can take a long time to root out.
If you look at Hull recently and Wire ( pre smith) both teams have suggested that bad apples in the changing room have contributed to their lack of success. I support the club let everyone know what is expected of players or pay the consequence. Any more incidents and ship them out.

Well Potter has a great record in 2009:
Hull KR - First win in a generation
Wakey - First win in a generation
Salford (a) - First win for Solly in Lord knows how long
Bradford - Lost against the worst Bradford team in SL

| Quote ="meast"smugness?? bit harsh tht aint it
i dont see smugness, just a pride in our club that supporters of established clubs will never, ever remotely come close to having.
most of us on here you see, were at fartown, most of us were there every time this club nearly went bust, most of us on here were there when we left fartown and most of us were here when ken davy rescued the club from oblivion (again!) we were there when the brave new world of the mcalpine stadium opened, there in the first years of super league when we were a total embarrassment, and not being relegated just worsened the situation, then the stupid pathetic "merger"
we've come out of the other end stronger as supporters, stronger as a club.
so when you've seen your club struggle for 20 years on and off the pitch then i think having some pride for what this lot have acheived is very much allowed.
makes me laugh when supporters of other clubs moan and whinge when they dont make a cup final or get into the play offs, jeez try sitting there knowing if your club is going to be there the next morning
rant over thanks for listeining
