I just hope those that did come enjoyed the experience, had a safe journey home and spread the word to their friends etc.
Al the best for the rest of the season...'"
the new stand is great, enjoyed the game and of course the result, i didnt enjoy the tanked up corporate numpties who were getting more and more annoying as the free beer flowed and the constant whingeing of the rovers fans.
i did enjoy putting a rovers fan in his place after the game when he said that our fans won't know about rugby league because we have only been coming for 3 or 4 years, from a hull kr fan!! priceless
thanks and good luck!

| Thought it was a very scrappy game with very poor refereeing for both sides.
Hull KR were very average and only made yards from penalties and mistakes/ball steals.
Most of the Giants team were below par.
As for going to "friendly" Hull you must be joking. I stopped going in the 1980's due to the unfriendly/hostile/aggressive atmosphere. looks like nothing has changed. why waste time and money to not enjoy the event.

well considering most of us on this topic were there i guess you want us to make excuses for the ones who didn't come ?
Erm:
It was away
It was on Sky
Those are the 2 main reasons we don't have big away support !
Also, it was in Hull, and due to past events there is plenty of older supporters who won't set foot in that town again !!

| I don't understand why, with 10 minutes to go and a 10 point lead, we started playing 'catch-up rugby'! In those final 10 minutes players who don't usually pass the ball started playing as though they were half backs! As the minutes counted down it got worse. Bough's kicking was excellent, but why kick on the 3rd and 4th tackles in the last 5 minutes?
We made the score look respectable for HKR.
I usually like Mr Thaler, but last night, together with certain Mr Silverwood decisions, oth ways, mind well.....

| well we certainly have a winning mentality at the moment and long may it continue....certainly know how to win ugly and id rather that than we lose.
thought Taai was immense lastnight with his powerful running.
also patrick and brough were great.... bailey is a very classy player..adds so much when he comes on.
feeling abit let down by broughton at the moment though, not taking the passes..maybe just rusty but expect to see more otherwise will be hoping to see a speedy murphy return.
great to get a win at hull kr again, was thinking deja vu when they scored in the last minute, bit of payback for the draw they stole at the start of the season
all the hull kr fans and local radio moaned about bad decisions...there were some for both sides!! im just glad we are getting a few go our way at the moment because jeez we have had some bad ones in the first half of this season.

Yes I was thinking that at the time, maybe in the back of their minds was the events of the last 3 minutes at home so another try would put them 3 scores ahead and kill the game.

| Taai and Kopczak clearly leading the way in the forwards.
Between the two of them 56 tackles no missed tackles and 265 metres with ball in hand.

Give it a try next year and you might be pleasantly surprised, if you're not happy at least you can base your opinion on something a little more contemporary than the 1980's...

kopczak deserves some credit for the way he has returned after getting alot of stick early in the season
the forwards are certainly laying the foundations now, hope the wings/centres up a gear now

| at 26-16 with 5 minutes to go we don't need to kill the game off, if we do our basics right and complete sets the game is won, there's a time and a place to start throwing impossible passes and offloads and leading by 10 points with 5 minutes to is not the right time, we just seem to lack the basics when needed to close the game out, we struggle to complete sets and always seem to give the opposition a sniff.
cut that out and the silly needless penalties, and dropped balls and we will be fine.

Tbf some of those passes were very poor. But we shouldn't be throwing passes like that when we have someone like broughton - who is going to be able to beat most wingers in a foot race- brough should be kicking to the corner and watching while the likes of Gardner watch broughtons heels disappear before their eyes.

| My comment earlier was not about the loyal vocal fans that came. I was just wondering what your team has to do to get more fans in? On the field they are entertaining and won the shield last year and thought that might inspire more to come. Is it simply a restricted catchment area that means that you can't inspire more casual supporters? As I stated, your team is very good, the supporters you have are vocal and loyal, I'm just suprised at a club your size and with you achievements cannot inspire more to attend games.

| i could post lots of reasons why our crowds are poor but i won't bore you with the details
but bearing in mind we were a run down club for most of the late 70's, 80's and early 90's then we lost a whole generation of fans, we also finished bottom of super league in our first 4 seasons, and saw thousands of glory hunters desert their home town for success at bradford and leeds.
our crowds are poor yes, but they are a whole lot better than what they were 10 years ago, bearing in mind we've had no success to speak of then i think the club have done very well to get the fan base upto 5,000 from what it was.

| yet again a lack of composure and brains left in changing room . KR had ten players missing if we wont to be contenders we should be destroying teams not just holding on for a win .maybe the penny will finely droop and the team will put in the hard work cut out the stupid penalty and keep hold of the ball. or come old trafford we be sat at home thinking what could have been

| to be fair,i have said it before and will keep on saying it, winning games is what matters, you get 2 points for a win, you don't get extra for playing brilliant or blowing teams away, as long as we keep that winning feeling and grinding out results then i am happy.
lets face it, in reality when it comes to play off games they are rarely won by "blowing teams away" they are won on an arm wrestle type of game,so for me the more close games we come through the better.
yes it's always nice to have a big win to celebrate but the important thing is that we are winning games, and showing a bit of spirit to win games that we would have probably lost earlier in the season.

| Just a comment on HKR away - good ground now with the new stand being very impressive - no worries about being behind goals at away games and a good view. Band under the concourse reminded me of the better days at The Stoop - so 10/10 to HKR for effort there.
I have never had a problem going to HKR - or any issue with their fans. Maybe lucky but they have always seemed friendly and knowledgeable to me - much better than their black and white counterparts in West Hull that is for sure!!!

| both sets of hull fans have improved improved over the years, but they still have more idiot fans than most other clubs.
saying that however most FC and KR fans are like most RL fans, genuine, decent lovers of the game, it's just their idiot minorities are quite high.
but at least i can say i feel safe visiting both grounds, i couldn't say that 10 years ago!
