Lee and Walker to miss out for me too.
I am not convinced about Walker. He did ok last week but was only on the pitch for about 20 minutes and to me he looks to lack fitness and mobility.
Lee played some big minutes and put in a decent defencive stint but is not in the same class as Kevin Brown in attack.

How has murphy gone so far? And Luke George?

Murphy recovering from injury. Back quicker than anticipated.Looked very comfortable in the Fax friendly. he is top quality cover for the 'back 5'. They went well at wigan so it would be unfair to replace any of them. Murphy will get his chance - what a quality player to have available! - and then will take some dislogding.

George looked reasonable in the pre season games. Was very encouraging versus Wigan on both attack and defence.

Possibly Lee and Bruno to miss out?

Would be very surprised to see Walker miss out after what NB said about him in the LE this week. He said he would have been in the first team last week even if everybody was fit.

Luke George was very impressive at the DW imo. He made some strong runs and made an exceptionally brave 1 on 1 trysaving tackle on his line at a crucial time.

I didn't think murphy looked that impressive he didn't particularly stand out more than Gorman or Walker for me against fax. ( think both will be knocking on the door next season) Bruno saved two definite tries with his solid tackling last week-he gives us options too being able to play in backs or second row. Bruno should be put in for wardle who tackles like Scott Moore like he's grasping at air- needs to put his body in that lad.

Good result that, Widnes have invested pretty heavily in the academy as a big box ticker for their SL application.

Looking at the squads we shouldn't have a chance in hell really, but a lot said that about you guys last week I guess with a few out. All I can ask is that we turn up and give it 100% and hopefully play some decent stuff and who knows what can happen.

Totally agree. This is anyone's game imo, if we don't turn up with the same attitude as we did at the DW this could be a long afternoon for us. I think Widnes will win a fair few matches this season once they get going. I see they've been written off by a lot of people already after last week & it was only round one! Ridiculous.

A winnable fixture for either side this one, it just depends who applys themselves best, plays smarter & maybe gets a bit of luck too. Mind you, with Ganson on board anything could happen.

Great to see the Chemics back where they belong though. I'm looking forward to the match.

Great performance. Was puzzled when Patrick and Lunt were left out but it didn't matter.

All again played well. Their try ewas a bit of a fluke, we were unlucky not to nil them and to win by 70 wouldn't have been out of the question given the chances we bombed and a couple of sympathetic decisions by Ganson.

Widnes were very poor. How much was us giving them too much to deal with is open to question.
