No we are not, 11th or 12th is no real difference but avoiding further injury or suspension is. Going into the 8's with a full and fit squad and I am confident we can have a much more meaningful fixture next season in SL. On our day we can compete with any SL club, the 8's are tough again this year with Wire and Cats being the surprising additions to the 4.

already had two downers with leigh beating us twice recently and could they do it again to us???

lets hope not! we have built up some good performances and confidence recently , time to get the job finished... dont fancy going into the middles 8's with our injuries.

Another great performance especially in defence. Leigh try was very very fortunate too. Only conceding 4 points in 2 game should give us good confidence going into next weeks huge game with Hull.

Yeah I can't see a spot for Rankin when Mamo is fit...

He can play anywhere in the backs and let's face it, with our injury luck we are never going to be without an injury somewhere in the backs so Rankin would be the ideal replacement anywhere.

Didn't understand the penalty he gave against us for stripping 1 on 1. No other Giants player was anywhere near and we stripped the ball backwards so why the penalty against us for stripping? Weird

How good was young Oli Roberts tonight too. Playing at centre most the game, really put himself about!!

He was awesome and kept smashing Vea. In the last 5 minutes Vea kept offloading the ball if Ollie was coming towards him, probably got sick to death of being smashed!!

It was absolutely hilarious how he kept banging vea- who initially was getting very irate and tried intimidating Oli- who just banged him some more - at the end it was like the ball was a hot potato- vea couldn't get rid of it quick enough and certainly didn't want to take it into contact...... cause Oli was there every time!

Definitely, reminded me of the Wardle situation with Ablett... but obviously legal. I thought to myself that we were starting to see Oli really develop into a man and a top SL player.

Credit to Darnell too he's returning the ball really strong, I think Wing is his best position

rankin came to play half back. has to play full back for now with mamo out injured.

Think that Rankin's future at club will depend on the Ridyard situation and whether we can make his move permanent or not,from memory his best position at Hull was full back

I think part of the Rankin signing was because the club new Mamo was going to be out for the season.

Ive been really impressed with Rankin and he is much better than Darnell and Gaskell at FB in my view, doesn't mess about and returns the ball hard. I hope we sign him long term to play half back for next season.

Darnell is progressing nicely on the wing atm and nearly made a couple of decent breaks last night, once he fills out and gains some extra strength he will be a great player.
