Bentham was actually shocking. Our defence was awesome- it had to be thanks to the repeat sets Bentham kept awarding on our line. We were awarded two penalties I think. That was a nilling tonight- wire first try looked short - the video ref would have looked at that one if on sky- and second was defo forward- linesman seemed to think so too but Bentham didn't!
Grixy was awesome. Took some great high balls under pressure- try saving tackle on the break and one of the moments of the match was him outjumping dogboy to snatch the ball from his grasp! Some great touches on attack too. Jerry and murphy kept their attacking threats quiet.

Superb tonight, absolutely fantastic. Not just the players but the fans too. Great noise and probably the best I've heard at an away game.

Hard to single out individuals as it was such an excellent display. A word for Aaron Murphy - never gets headlines but he was absolutely faultless.

Buzzing! just going to let the ale talk and ramble! Only been a fan since coming to uni here in 2012, this was my favourite night of them all! Great performance on the pitch and in the terraces! Was thinking all this week if we can get a win here it would really indicate we're fighting for silverware this season, winning away at a team tipped for GF success! Most impressive to me was when wire came back to 10-13, we just carried on with our normal game and just pushed right back on for the win rather than pressing panic/self-destruct button which is what we've done in past. Really think this is going to be a massive positive and turning point for the lads,[size=50 just need to back it up over Easter though

Finally!! Been wanting to win there for ages! Cheeky tenner on the boys tonight paid off!!

The big thing for me was not panicking when wire pulled it back to 10-13! To carry on and not start to panic was immense and something we haven't seen against the top clubs! The team will now have the belief but so should then fans! We can turn up knowing we can compete and beat anyone! Brilliant effort from the boys!

It shows how much the vocal support of the fans means! This isn't a scripted eurge of support in the examiner this is from a loyal player who has just come off the biggest win of the season to say how much it means!

The lads deserve something special when they play at home! We are more condensed at away games with all the vocal fans together and what they produce is awesome!

We have got to get this to transfer to the john smiths stadium! It will help the team, and imho it will help keep new fans! You bring a mate or relative to a game wirh the crowd bouncing and having fun they will also get the feeling!

It's a win win all round! The singers and the band have started to get the crowd going! Perhaps the other fans who feel a bit more tentative will back the lads vocally

I've been lucky enough to go to every away game for last 4- 6 years lazy night was number 1 in all them games for atmosphere outstanding by our fans, but what a performance by our players slowly getting to our best which is good with some hard fixtures coming up

superb performance all round from the players and the fans last night!
i said after the game and even some wire fans agreed that we beat them on and off the pitch last night, but to do it in that style and by that margin was pretty damn good.
i did fear when they got it back to 10-13 that "here we go again" they would run a few more tries in and we would be reflecting on another valiant but ultimately fruitless trip to warrington... but the fans responded to that 2nd ( dodgy ) try and rallied the lads and it seemed to rub off on the players who then stepped it up another notch.

i thought bentham was poor i thought he gave them everything and their 2nd try appeared a mile forward and he ignored several high shots, from both sides.
but we have done it now and we need to build on that and not slip up at home to salford and away at HKR now.

Brilliant, Absolutely brilliant, showed how much it means to everyone to finally get that win over there - i actually never felt threatened by them last night as i usually do, even Bentham couldn't help them last night though he was certainly trying !!

Brilliant support from the fans too it was almost a semi-final atmosphere, and to see old men, women and children clapping, dancing and singing with smiles on their faces was very satisfying, those who weren't there missed out on a magical night !

Here here let that be the spark that triggers fantastic away support week in week out as it must have helped spur everyone on when we could easily have let the game slip away. To be honest I though the support was disapointing noise wise at Wakey but perhaps it was because people were spread out aling the length of the field but being in the middle of a roofed terrace bought it all together big style last night.

Onwards and upwards on and off the pitch I hope.

the ground at wakefield just doesn't offer any atmosphere whatsoever, at warrington even a couple of hundred can make a lot of noise, when jerry scored that try last night the scenes where reminiscent of when wild scored in the semi final there, albeit on a smaller scale!

fantastic support if only we could replicate that at all games, especially at home!

Great atmosphere last night - best for ages in a regular away game. Band were awesome from first arriving and definitely helps to build the chants/songs. From tweets players appreciated it and when score narrowed the fans helped to keep the team positive. Well done to all there - same again please over Easter - still singing on way home - we're Claret and Gold, we're Claret and Go-old

40 tackles no misses from bruno again last night! That for only half a game!!! And before folk moan about his go forward he also had as many carries as Huby and Eorl but a slightly bigger avg gain! What a workhorse he is!
Mullally made 9.5 metres a carry- only 6 carries and 9 tackles though.

Great night. Atmosphere was top class. Really great support. And I think it absolutely made a difference. Particularly when it scoreline got close, the lads were under the sticks waiting for wire's kick. At that point the noise from fans went up even further. No griping or getting on players back, just 100% support. That's got to make a difference.

Main points I picked up:

Our defence is looking as mean as it has for 18 months. Solid, working for each other, good shape, better line speed.

Michael Lawrence is a major part of the above. Gotta be one of the best defenders in super league. Great technique coupled with a great engine and increased size and strength over last few seasons makes for a brick wall of a defender. As others have mentioned, his go forward is steadily improving too.

Our signings so far have made a real difference. Huby was quality. Didn't take a backwards step. Hughes was solid again. Ellis gives us real balance. Thought his first half kicking was very good
, he takes on the line and is a class finisher.

Brough was outstanding. Kicking master class. Was vocal through the match, geeing the lads up, didn't get his mardy head on, which with the number of the pens against was good to see. One thing I noticed in particular . Jerry made a tackle bust and spilled the ball. Danny was shouting from other side of pitch at him to keep his chin up and keep doing what he's doing and encouraging him.

Loads of other pluses. As baloo has mentioned we weren't perfect with the ball, but I still like where we are at.

Spot on about bruno being one of the best defenders-the number of times I say- "you're not getting through there" when the opposition run at him. The other thing is he rarely makes errors and despite the amount of defending he does - he's a clean defender so doesn't give away penalties!!! He's very underrated by many I think. Ellis still makes too many errors for me- but he's still fitting in to the side- I hope that will improve as he gains a better understanding with the rest of the team. Taai is looking better every game, seems to be keeping hold of the ball better and is another solid defender and when the ground gets harder- woah!!!
Interesting to look at the stats for this weekend lunt still missing tackles (although he did put a massive shift in and made 47 in a full game) but he only ran TWICE from DH all game- compare that to 11 from robbo and 8 from Woody and it's clear to see why our attack is now looking more dangerous- it's what we were missing IMO and why we looked a better side and appeared to score more when Woody was coming on! It opens the game up for us and means our Outside players are getting more space.
