Would you play him in this game DG based on what you saw at Cas? Is the game a couple of weeks early?

| If he has done a lot of fitness training in the last couple of weeks he would add a lot of power and aggression to the pack. Not sure he would last 80 minutes but depending on the bench he would be worth the risk.

| Ultimately he'll only get up to proper speed by playing the games. You'd hope he'd be a bit better next time for the run out last time.

Definitely. Cas's forwards just bounced backwards when they ran into him! He also did some excellent one-man tackles.

| You know, JonnyGiant's wänkerage aside, this has been a dead interesting thread. What really strikes me is that Huddersfield, Fartown, whatever is now so clearly back in the mainstream and rightly so, and we are talking at least as equals now (and if you insist on referring to last season's league positions you can bog off now! ) This has got to be good for the game as a whole, and if I was a Fartown supporter I'd be pretty optimistic looking at my squad for 2010 and chuffed to bits at my good fortune that Ken Davy is a dedicated Fartown fan. I hope we knock the living daylights out of you on Friday, and when we play you at Odsal (a big ask given that pack of yours, but we can live in hope... ), but otherwise I am coming round to wishing you well for the season. If we don't manage to hit the heights this year (its a big ask...2011 is the better target) then I hope you guys do.

| Team this week IMO will be:
B Hodgson
L Cudjoe
"Jammer"
"Fatz"
D Hodgson
K Brown
L Robinson
K Mason
D Faiumu
A Raleigh
G Horne
Aspinwall or Grix (probly Grix, but Aspy wont be back in the back line this year so will need to get some game time in the pack)
L Gilmour
Bench
E Crabtree on for Gilly
D Griffin on for Mason
D Fa aloga (last 15 mins in the 1st half then all the second). on for Grix / Aspy
S Lunt on at 9 with Faiumu moving to 13 when Earl comes on.
now thats a plan and a half !

| I'd personally like to see Lawrence beating one of Jammer or Fatz to the starting line up. It will prove he's coming on and, ATEOTD, he needs first team exposure to really improve. Hopefully he will keep on improving and, if we do get to the bigger games like CC Semis, Finals etc, he may get picked rather than be left out as he was last season.

| Think Koppy may be fit for us, if he is, there won't be much change, only in the pack :
Lynch
L'Estrange
Scruton
Hall
Langley
Menzies
Godwin
Kopzcak
Worrincy
Whitehead/Donaldson/Crossley/Crookes

We are fooked then.
On sky, big push by the club , loads of publicity and build up, a chance for the team to fianlly win something at home and give the season a good start and momentum, and the Ganson and Halibut show.
Might just watch it on telly

The thing is with Ganson when its a normal game on Sky is that he delevopes an attention deficit disorder
so expect a poor disjointed game littered with loads of penalties and plenty of controversial moments with Steve Ganson gaining maximum exposure

| Dunno why you are worrying...Bulls fans can reel of a list of matches the Perfect Man has (allegedly) screwed us in. Have you already forgotten the scandal of Millennium Tragic, where he awarded Leeds a penalty at the death for an incorrect decision made for him illegally by Klein in his ear, and then after Sinfield's kick bounced off the posts into the arms of a dreadfully offside Tansey he awarded the try without even going to the screen?
Advantage Hudds, if anything, with the perfect man in the middle!

Just put my team together and I've come up with exactly the same 17 - bench an' all. Only doubt I had was maybe Raleigh will start instead of Griffin.
We need to dominate the Bulls pack from the start - a tough ask looking at it.

| Whatever the team we really, really need to get a home win and a win for the Sky cameras.
Remember Hull FC last season? First home game, at home, on Sky with a big crowd. We totally parped, played like ponks and had loads of Hull FC fans creaming about Thorman and how our back line was pap, our props were ineffective and that we were mid table fodder!
