I am mates with an ex super league prop. I remember him picking an injury up. When discussing the injury he told me that if he had to miss any game he was happy for it to be London as Kafusi in his words was a 'monster'

This came from a SL veteran who never took a step back, but having felt the full impact of Kafusi on the corresponding fixture, didn't really fancy it again.

Not many decent props out there at the moment so I think the club have done well to sign him.

Was it not tony clubb who came out and said it was getting harder and harder to take the beatings week in week out? Got to be hard to motivate yourself game after game to keep getting beat, kaufusi came over as London had made some good signings and could have been pushing for the top 8 and building over the next few seasons however for what ever reason the team couldn't keep pace gower left and young lads were being blooded!
Take kaufusi to a team with current prospects and watch him rip it up for us!

Kaufusi came over because we were the only side to (stupidly) offer him a 3 year deal. He said this himself.

For a club that has done as well as yours this season, I would not be pleased by this signing.

Baloo seems to think he is ok so I'll go with his choice

We couldn't keep up due to poor performances from players such as Kaufusi. Bad signing for a club pushing for the top places.

Me too, done pretty well so far. In Paul Anderson we trust.

It's not surprising there are some dumping on this signing. After all, there were huge expectations for him and London have underperformed. Saying that though I recall them creaming their crackers over that hit he put on Crabtree. Best thing since sliced bread that day, wasn't he if I remember right...

ATEOTD though Kaufusi himself will know he's not really delievered on what was expected. He was playing in a struggling team. He won't be playing in a struggling team though, he'll be trying to earn a place in a side that finished top of the league coached by an ex-prop who demands the optimum every week. He has to perform here or he won't play. And who knows how his contract is structured?

He's got the talent, there's no doubt about that. I Baloo can get him back to his best form then we have a cracking player.

Spot on Danril, he has struggled at London, but so did everyone in that squad at times. As a team they had a few decent results and many poor ones, sometimes they played well in defeat often they did not. There is clearly a problem in that environment that causes issues.

AK has talent and I would use two examples, both involving Cas to demonstrate why I think he will be a good signing for us:

1. Look at the difference Darryl Powell made to Cas taking over the same squad Milward had, absolutely remarkable. All those players did far better in a better environment/culture.

2. Brett Ferres, did some good things and some not so good when at Cas, when we signed him many of us, myself included, wondered why? well this season we have seen why, that is down to Baloo and environment.

I am not judging AK by his performances in a structure where nobody could succeed. In that light there is plenty to be excited about.

Kaufusi may well not have hit the levels that were expected however his stats over the two seaon look acceptable particularly playing in a poor team.
He makes good yards and more than his share of tackles and misses relatively few tackles. His injury record also looks good.

In a better team with better training and better payers around him he can only get better.The simple fact will be if he doesn't perfrom he wont get in the side. That in itself should act as motivation.

Could be a very good signing , hopefully a move to a better club/squad will see improvements to his game like we've seen from others in the past. Welcome aboard !

fieldens 55k? or more odonnells 100k+ ... ferguson/dawson/cording/george all gone too so there is space with them going

bailey/kaufusi the ins so far with broughton expected too

I think we end up with a stronger group though, for all Dawson & George contributed last season, especially after Easter, it is more like Bailey, Kaufusi & Broughton in, Fergie & Cording out.

Shame to lose Fergie & Cording both made strong contributions to our season and the LLS and will I am sure be appreciated by all Fartowners whenever we may meet them in future.

I'm still gutted we are letting cording go. I can see him developing into a great kirmond style second row.

If Cording was as good as you say he would surely still be in superleague. He was ok and never let the team down but i didn't really see him as a player who was good enough for a top half super league team.

there is Wood's salary to take into account as well.

I'm a big fan of both Cording and Fergie. I think we could have kept Cording on the cheap.
