We wear the kit we are told. Just because we're at home is no guarantee. We've played at home in our away kit in the past and played away in our home kit. We stated earlier in the week what kit we were playing in, based on what the RFL instructed us to wear.

I once say a page on the RFL website that states which teams will be wearing which shirts for future games. I don't know if it's still on there but I can't find it.

Just some input from someone who knows........the RFL state which strip the teams wear.
This is non negotiable just cos the sun is shining and the Giants fancy a run out in the white kit.
The home team will always wear their principal kit unless it clashed with both the other teams kits.
At that point they would then have the hosts change their kit to the away.
The fact is that someone at Huddersfield has not taken any notice of the match directive or have simply
assumed that Castleford would wear their principal kit.

This is laughable. We've a been at games where we've worn our away kit despite it not clashing with the opposition. Hull KR at home last season is just one example. Live on Sky for all you brainless oiks.

Of course, had Huddersfield managed to actually play a home game at home then presumably they would have had their away kit available. Your trying to pass the buck to Cas is laughable.

The Giants have always struck me as a small-town, slightly unprofessional organisation off field and this reconfirms that perception.

Why are you evading the matter at hand, Huddersfield's off-field shoddiness?

If you let us know who the last player to kick 1,200+ goals and lift four championship trophies at Huddersfield was, then we can discuss Kevin Sinfield.

To be honest I have to agree with the majority of the posters on this issue. Lets be honest had the majority put their points across sensibly that is.!!!. Isnt it great when we mess up everyone comes out to play!.

I would expect the Giants being the home team that they (someone) should have checked and double checked the arrangements for games at the Shay and someone is going to be in trouble. Classic case of what appears to be poor communication. I dont expect the RFL to stick their heads above the parapit on this one!.

Bottom line is someone (kit man maybe) should have brought both kits. The RFL do have the final say on kits who wears what mind you and many a time we have played in the alternative kit at home. Bottom line is someone made a mistake - dont we all?.

Read the rules about home and away teams and their kit responsibilities. Then come to grips with the fact that your lot are in our shadow this season and then, once you've gotten over that, maybe we can talk about how you're on here making a show of yourself because you've still not gotten over the fact Bailey is a softcock and that there are Tescos value sausages in them with more brains than you have.

Whoever is to blame the game has been shown up as shoddy on sky tv,well done.

Huddersfield informed the RFL they would be playing in their white strip and this was SANCTIONED by the RFL.

Cas should have come with their home kit but brought the wrong one. It was either CAS or the RFL who made the mistake. That is why CAS were made to wear the Halifax kit.


The match commissioner has been interviewed by Sky & he said that it was down that Castleford would play in there home jersey's & Hudders would be playing in there alternate jersey's... Sadly Cas didn't pack the right kit & didn't bring a spare! Hence why they are in Halifax's!

So you know, just to clarify, the kit directive had it that we would wear a 3rd strip, which we did. Which is where this situation is completely different.

That's all fair enough, but it doesn't explain why huddersfield should be allowed to choose which kit they played in does it?

That's the RFL's job, and as you rightly say, i feel it is them where the buck should lie, because if they approved it for you, then they should have informed Cas, and that seems to be the only missing piece.

No, the kit directive didn't have that. The specific instructions for that particular game stated it, which just goes to show that the generic rule is essentially meaningless. There is no home kit or away kit as far as the RFL are concerned. There is the primary kit and the secondary kit and then a tertiary kit for exceptional circumstances such as yours. We were apparently instructed by the RFL to wear our secondary kit. According to Cas, so were they. Different sides may have been instructed exactly the same and there may have been no problem but, today, for those two teams it didn't work. Did the RFL muck up? Did we? Did Cas? Who knows, but to just default blame us is wrong; we did what we thought the RFL wanted us to do.

We didn't choose you plonk! We wore what we were told, or at least what we believed we were told.

Not according to other posters, the directive said Primary(home) you asked for that to be changed and the RFL approved. As i said, not trying to blame hudds, just think it's embarrasing, and as i've stated before, looks like the RFL should be to blame.
