Had a really positive response from stadium management about having a designated flag / banner display area. They're having a meeting tomorrow to discuss potential areas in stadium and logistics etc. Stadium manager has promised to respond further tomorrow, and wants to meet / discuss later in the week.

So game on for Sunday (fingers crossed).

Reference having collections for larger flags; I've looked into setting up fundraising pages with several websites, but they take a percentage (4-5%) which I'm not keen on. I'm going to contact club about whether they would assist with organising a fund, that we all pay into.

Was it up at the FC game? There were a few up. Just need them up at home games and we'll be up and running.

Not had chance to bring mine down yet, I will however have it in block 10 for the CAS game. I will see if I can drape it over the middle tier for the Magic weekend too.

I know it seems an eternity since this was first posted but after think about it I think the fans of the club should try and get some crowdfunding going for some flags in the stadium! I have had some design ideas and 4Fs will fully back this and I hope HGSA would too! How many of you would be willing to put money in? If we could get some designs going and have a vote on the first banner/flag we could get some excitement going?

Definitely count me in. Didn't get a lot of interest in trying to get flag fund going last season, but definitely worth trying again. Would be great to get some flags ready for the start of next season.

Maybe worth trying to collect at matches when season underway? I know Wigan used to generate some funds via pin badges and t shirts etc. This could be worth looking at also?

HGSA would probably back the idea. However, we have already bought a large flag (seen at every home game and some away ones), so financial support might not be forthcoming. I'll bring it up at our next committee meeting.

Yeah that would be great, giving the option to your members to donate and spreading the word in general would be good!

If we get the support from people 4Fs is very happy to set this up and get something moving but we need the support!

how about a flag with the current Giants logo, the old fartown badge/coat of arms and a yorkshire rose?

The fanzine designer is currently working on the last edition of the fanzine and he is really busy at the moment so when that is done he will start work on some flag designs and use your ideas and see what he can come up with! After that we will talk a vote and then I'll price up to see how much we need to raise!

Keep the ideas coming in though! He will need inspiration
