This is all old news now so not a problem for me, but just to explain.
I think the issue with the Sheffield/Huddersfield thing stems from the fact that Wakefield were always allowed to go down but we kept avoiding it, but Hudderfield kept coming bottom and being saved for various reasons (others not coming up being a good reason in actual fact). Added to that we weren't given the super league money when we came up, it upsets people and Huddersfield gave us something to direct our moans about it.
It's not really the Huddersfield teams fault but that's just how emotions work.

It does bug me a little that some of your better players at the moment came from us, but to be honest, we couldn't keep them and you could. Simple as that. Glad Murphy is doing well. Always rated him.

BUT given the fact that you were at the bottom for so long, it makes the eventual rise to the top all the more incredible and sweet I'm sure.

I really hope you do win the LLT (though would prefer it to be after our game) and eventually win an entertaining GF in front of a big crowd. I'll be there either way and unless some incredible underdog story comes out to sway me, I'm likely to be supporting Huddersfield

lets not forget that we did actually go down and come back up so have done it the hard way too.

murphy is a top top player and proved quite a few people wrong with his performances this season, for me he just needed a run of games to show it.

wakefield have had a fair share of huddersfield players too over the years. Not all one way traffic as wakefield fans would like to think

as for the not going down, it wasn't something that was EVER celebrated by us and certainly not used as a stick to poke Wakey with so i've never understood why the Wakey fans use it to beat us up with - it wound our fans up a lot more than anyone who supports Trinity yet year after year it is referred to constantly on Wakey's board when the bile about our club comes out. Their beef should surely have been/is with the RFL who made the decision to keep us up and not our club and fans who wanted to go down !.

Well said Charlie. I was thinking the same thing as Wire pulled away from Saints last night but what if we lose to Wakefield instead of winning? The huge emotion we would have felt from winning will conversely proportional to the emotion felt if we lose. Then even more pressure next week!
I'm chicken, I'd have been happier not having to beat Wakey or the Bulls and spend time preparing for the playoffs, and settle for a mediocre celebration if we beat Wakey.
