I think we'll finish 3rd if we lose on Friday. As Jools says Bradford and Wakefield will be tough and I think we'll be struggling with confidence if we lose. Lucky we're going to win!

At the start of the competition every team know the rules.

"Winning the League" is a valid phrase in Football. At the end of the weekly rounds, the team that finishes top of the league table has WON the league.

Under the current SL structure, finishing on top of the league table after the weekly rounds is not the primary objective of the competition. The LLS means zip. The competition is all about Old Trafford.

Just checked the Wigan website - when they've finished top they've included it on their 'Honours Board' so I assume it must mean something...

winning the LLS means you finish top of the LEAGUE, therefore winning the LEAGUE! the season is comprised of a LEAGUE , the super league, and then the super league play offs, the team that finishes top of super league are therefore LEAGUE CHAMPIONS.
dress it up or play it down however you like but that's what the LLS is.
winning the grand final means you have won the play off competition to determine the champions of super league,it is a totally different concept to winning the LEAGUE!
