I, too, was extremely cross with Friday's performance.

However, all around us people were moaning from the first minute. The team played crap, granted, but the moaners finished by saying we'd be bottom of the league at the end of the season, not Salford. EVERYONE's losing to the so-called weaker clubs, just ask Warrington. Be angry but get over it & move on! As the Leeds fans said when we beat them, SL isn't won at this stage of the season. It's won in September.

i wasn't meaning the booing was coordinated from a large section,i meant individiuals and small groups, there were lots around me who booed every time we dropped the ball or misplaced a pass etc.
yes we played poorly as ivor says and even though i was telling people not to get carried away it was to no avail,the negativity had set in and that how it continued for 80 minutes,fair enough to voice your displeasure at errors,they pay their money etc, but from the first minute?? everyone makes errors,every team has bad days every team plays poor at some point,you have to accept that from time to time,as i said it wasn't lack of effort on friday,we just played badly.the players didn't set out to be poor it just happened.to get on their backs early on though was poor IMO.

as for the swearing,some people were bad on friday and i was around a lot of them i got sick of telling them to tone it down.i know some of them had had a lot to drink and probably didn't realise they were doing it but it was out of order, yes most of us shout the odd profanity when things don't work out but there was no need for it on friday and it was embarrassing.

Problem is though that out of the what is it now,nine rounds?, Fartown have played badly in about 5 or 6 of them. They've won some games they really shouldn't have perhaps (Trinity springs to mind) and there doesn't really seem to be a weekly improvement from the side. It's the same mistakes over & over (dropped ball, missed tackles etc) that they don't seem to address & improve upon from game to game. So to be fair I don't really mind if fans voice their concerns if they want to, as long as it's not swearing & all that nasty stuff.

If the players want the fans to get behind them, then they should pull their collective finger out & start playing with some professional wherewithal.

im sure we will improve when it matters,at this stage of the season it doesn't matter really in the big scheme of things.
i would rather play badly in a few games at the start of the season that end up like we did last year!

Breirley, l never said anyone was on drugs, after my initial few blasts, most of my posts were very tongue in cheek, l give tons of praise to the Giants, and support them as much as possible,l was at the HGSA Tuesday, Senior Giants meeting on Wednesday, were any of you? l would imagine if the Giants swapped places with the Reds, most of you that come on here would be long gone, There,s nothing wrong with criticism so long as its constructive, l made valid points. We have had these discusions before everyone is entitled to their opinion, no need for anyone to get personell, (banter is ok) just post an opposing view, don,t take life too seriously, as for drugs, l,ve never even smoked a cig, chill out people.
